the Stinger! I am so bummed right now. Don't ever try going thru an open garage door with your suicde door open.
The suicide door is in pretty good shape but the lower clip in front of the vent is shot and also the rear clip area in front of the gas door. I just don't relish the thought of dealing with this right now. And I have the gauge pod area all torn apart putting in a 120 speedo that I can't get to work which contributed to my stupidity. So much for plug & play.
And the finished garage wall is toast. My wife is going to love me for that.
Well I suppose I best go start on the mess. Later. I would share pictures but don't have a digital camera.

I'm so sorry to hear this happen Jeff but, when i saw the title to this thread, i thought you had crashed on the road and might have been hurt. I'm actually a little relieved to see it was a driveway mishap and that you're okay. Very sorry to hear about the car. I hope you get it fixed soon.

LMK if you need anything. (Including the use of the digi camera)
Tina BTW Nothing fishy about Jeff not owning a digital camera. Although I don't Jeff too well, he strikes me as a great family man. Always putting his kid/kids and wife first.
Well you guys figured me out. My life sucks so bad that I have to make up BS like this to get attention. And thank you for your support!
You know I use to be into photography pretty heavily back before the days of digital cameras. I have an old 35mm Nikon with a full range of lens. I just haven't been interested in getting one, even a cheapy. After all I am a cheap bastard and proud of it.
As Tina said, thank you, I do have other priorities.

I am totally bummed for you. I had a similar accident with a brand new 300ZX. I was backing off a lift after an oil change. As I backed off, I had the door open a little so I could look down to make sure I did not drive off the ramps. I did not notice the door opening wider, and wider until I heard the loud bang, and the glass shattered.
The garage door door jamb caught it and really tore it up. I was sick for at least two days. Just reading about the Stinger is bringing back the nightmare memories for me. I really hope that you can get it fixed up quickly.
Best of luck

Dude, chill. I think that I made my sincere comments earlier in the post. Sorry about your luck... Damn, I think I'm going to take a leave of absence from this forum...whatever...

That exact thing happened to me. Only it was a dutch guy backing into a covered parking pole. I totally feel you. As for getting it fixed, I can't imagine. Mine was hard enough and it wasn't suicide doors. I am so sorry man.

Hey Geff............I could stop by with the digi-camera & post some if your done greiving
Stop by there and take a couple of pics of the hinge area without the panels on. That way, at least I can help determine if the damage is to body panels only.

Sorry to hear about your mishap with the stinger. Hopefully the repair won't be too bad. I understand your dilemma with the digital cameras... I have enough photo equipment to have purchased a decent car. I am not completely sold on the quality of the digital yet. I can see the convienience aspect of digital, but the quality isn't close enough to film if you are taking pictures that you want enlarged. Hope you get the Stinger fixed soon.
