That link has very useful information. The section about language in particular. Actually, YOU might want to read the section about "RATE ME" threads as well.
Remember, the car in this thread belongs to an 11yr boy. Let's try to keep it clean, okay pal?

Um, you are the one swearing and being a jerk. My only comments in this thread prior to my reply to you, was about steves lights and the HP a duke puts out.
In regards to the lights - Nice mod Steve, I always thought the notchs lights were a bit boring, and that looks like it has potential. Anymore pics?
As far as HP - It wasn't a dig. The fiero isn't a powerhouse. I am assuming thats why Fiero5 added the n2o. I know it's why I have been dummping some serious $$$$ into a 3800 swap.
To bad this thread will probably go to the trash, it was fairly civil until your little show.

There are about 8 people on this forum who are jerks and are always trying to assert their authority over others. They are the first people to jump on the wagon to bash someone. If I do not like someone I try to stay away from their posts but not these jerks. If you do not like fiero5 why do you come on here an bash him? Does it make you feel better does it make you feel more like a man? I might not be a fan of fiero5s car but I am not going to bash him for what he has done to his car with his money. I have alway stood up for people that are getting beat down by bully ******* jerks. There are some here that are always ragging on people and you never see a picture of their fiero or what they have done to it. I think most of them are nothing more then the rejects from the mustang forums.

Why not go troll the O/T. Don't try to make yourself the victim you are a trouble maker. DO YOU EVEN have a fiero lets see pictures of it?

I have let the personal pressure's of a 50+ hour work week and a fulltime school schedule among other things, bleed into how I am perceived here at PFF. Obviously, that hasn't been a good thing. Yes I have a Fiero, and I will post pics of it when I am done. Until then feel free to call me a liar.
That being said, Steve & Jordan, I have been a jerk couple of times in the past and I apologize for it. Good luck with the n2o duke, get some time slips when you can.
Liquid-Reality - If you want to continue this further, we can do it in PM. No need to highjack this thread anymore than we have.

Liking Steve, or his car really has nothing to do with it....
The fact of the matter is, Steve is putting out dis-information. I much the same manner as someone claiming that they can get 200 HP out of a duke with a cam swap and removing the cat.. Steve is claiming that you can put a 75 HP dry shot of NOS on basically a stock duke.
Now then.. let's imagine that I'm a 16 year old (or a 30 year old or 50 year old) with basically no automotive experiance at all. I have my first fiero.. an '86 with a duke. I love my car.. and it runs pretty well (for a 18 year old car).. but it just doesn't have the power I need or desire.
Low and behold, someone tells me about pennock's.. or I google and find it.. regardless, I find my way here. I do a search, read some threads.. and see this guy who has the same year car as me.. same engine, same tranny.. and whoa be it that he has claimed that he has a 75 shot of NOS on his duke and it still performs like new.
I go to my local speed shop and buy the same kit that he did.. install it into my duke.. fill my bottle.. on it's native run, I hit the button and throw a rod through my oil pan.
But why, Steve has a 75 shot on his duke and it runs fine.. why did mine fail? I had fewer miles on my car, took care of it regularly.. did my engine grenade because I don't have a non-functional hot air intake next to the stock intake?
You see my point... it's not about how much we like or dislike the F&F Fiero, it's about the fact that Steve is putting out not only incorrect information.. but plain wrong information that could be damaging to one who is unsuspecting and unknown.

I didn't know you had a Fiero that has NOS. But I would certainly think that you should be able to find someone a lot closer to you down there that can do it?
I have a 50hp NOS kit with remote turn-on, high flow valve and bottle heater for the yellow Formula, but didn't get a chance to install it due to the engine popping. Oh, I also have a Jacobs Nitrous Master (progressive NOS controller) that I was going to use in the same car - if I had found a good place to mount it. Anyways, getting the bottle filled down - we don't have any local speed shops (that's why Summit Racing and I are on a first name basis! ), except for one shop in New Bedford that caters exclusively to Rustangs ...

i agree that there needs to be a bit more evidence on steve's part, to prove it's not "dis-information", because an accident caused by untrue info would be detrimental.....but i believe that no matter what kind of thread he starts, there's gonna be a few people getting ready to pounce on his every ideas. it's not fair, anyone with a fiero belongs here.....i think anyway....am i wrong? in any case, i hope he either shuts the negative people up, or proves them right......the fact of the matter is that there are better ways to go about telling someone what u think....datacop didn't have to attack Steve to get his point across, so why do some other grown men feel the need to? if people know for a fact it's BS, why don't people start their own threads stating facts about how it's impossible to have a Nossed up Duke, and how potentially dangerous it is...... instead of trashing someone who is repeatedly trying to show something different. for all the crap he evidently puts up with from some, it goes to show that he is a die-hard member of this forum, cause i woulda grabbed my crotch, flipped the bird, and took off to find a less dramatic posting ground by now.

Alot of people are saying that a duke can't handle a 75 shot, I think it can for a SHORT period of time. I have first hand experience on N2O and small, weak engines. me and my friends bought an 88 Nissan Sentra for $100 with a 1.8 liter or so. We hooked up one of my dads extra N20 kits to it with a FULL 95hp dry shot. The engine held just fine for 3 shots of about 3 seconds long. On the fourth shot the head gasket blew, and it seized up. I am not saying that Fiero5 is telling the truth, but I think it is possable for him to use the full 75 shot on the duke with no problems SO FAR. Just my 2 cents.

The problem isn't the car. It's Steve and his posts. I complain because he posts too many pics, but I haven't said anything in this thread because it's a Jordan thread and it's expected here. But, what you have is the contraditory information about what is in the car.....or is it really in the car? Seems that there is a problem with truth here, and that is what's being called on here. There seems to be a problem with weather the NOS is installed, whether it's actually used, whether it's been used enough to go through a 10 lb bottle, whether the steering wheel is a Sparco, whether it was really in a return box at AutoZone, whether AutoZone handles Sparco stuff............
It's not the car. It seems that Steve can't tell us one story that doesn't morph into something else, and when called on it he will not/cannot give us the proper information. This is why Fiero5 ends up with Trash Can threads. It's him.....not the car. As for going to another forum, he already said he was going to go....and we're waiting for him to keep his word, but we know that's worthless.

Well as lurker was saying, of the almost 10 000 members of this great forum, there must be a couple guys that can go see for themselves, and give us all what we want. i mean if it's that important to call him on this, i'm sure it's not hard to spot that car if you live close to it. James
I'll be in Manchester, NH in a few weeks trying to figure out what is wrong with my guts. Maybe he'll let me do it. I dunno why people would doubt him. It's pretty convincing photoshopping and a lot of effort just to deceive us.

I think Datacop hit the nail on the head. I don't think that anyone needs to go to "check on Steve" cause let’s face it - what he does to his car is his business. He doesn’t have to "prove" anything. That's not the point. It's more bout the misinformation that can steer others into wasting their time (like looking for a Sparco wheel at Pep Boys) or strapping a 75 HP shot on to their duke and blowing it up because they saw someone post about it here. If you’re unsure about something, just say - "Hey I'm green at this and think it's this" instead of stating things as fact then going - oh, we I'm not using ALL of it. Honestly I feel that Steve didn't know any better, as he's new to the NOS thing, as he stated.

No the problem is that there are a few like you Firefox that just like stick your nose into a thread for no other apparent reason then to pick on some of us and start crap anytime we post anything. How you still have lots of green is beyond me. Go look at any of the threads I have started in the past months and you Firefox among a few others will be one of the very first to jump in with insults and bashing. That is why they get messed up, thrown off topic and then finally sent to the trash. If some of you complainers don't believe us I really could care less. If we posted this by typing the info only, some of you would be saying the post is worthless without pics. So we post pics and some of you still are not satisfied. We are building our cars the way we like Firefox, not the way you want or in a way that will satisfy you. If the pics are not good enough for you, then drive on up here and I will give you a ride. Oh I know, you live too far away. Well, thats not my problem and I guess then that the pics will just have to do I think that says a lot about some of you who seem to always be the ones complaining. Some of you never seem to be happy here, never seem to believe anyone and just continually pick the posts apart no matter what anyone says. So Firefox why should I keep responding here to your questions when no matter what I say, no matter what pic I post you obviously just aren't going to be satisfied? If you don't like what I post, why are you always in my threads causing problems?
And Donk, are you and Shaun Hammit buddies? I know it is Shaun as he is e-mailing me with the exact same word for word comments your posting here for him. Listen, if someone either can't or won't post their own comments in a thread on their own, please don't bring their "showed up in my e-mail garbage" into a thread for them. Shaun was booted off this forum for a reason and if he is now using you as his latest puppet to still get his insulting comments posted then go have him pull your strings somewhere else. Don't shoot the messenger? Give us a break.

Anyways, getting the bottle filled down - we don't have any local speed shops (that's why Summit Racing and I are on a first name basis! ), except for one shop in New Bedford that caters exclusively to Rustangs ...
We don't have true speed shops around here either and the ones that do fill the bottles can also sell you the nitrous kits, BUT for about another $200. mark up. Eric, I can e-mail you the info on these places if your still interested but it looks like jncommutt has a place that is less expensive and maybe closer to you?
As for the other person who asked why I just didn't get it all at a speed shop, as I said Advanced was the closest "dealer" that Holley had on their computer that they could work thru for us. I don't know if the speed shops do not buy directly thru Holley or what, but they were certainly more expensive when I checked into buying a NOS kit awhile back and they didn't seem to come up when Holley listed a few dealers based off my zip code asking which one I wanted to go thru to get the system finally set up correctly and working.
As for the steering wheel at Pep Boys, I guess that question as to why they had it should be asked at Pep Boys. I have no idea and never thought that I should snap a picture or two of the box when we purchased it. I will try and find the receipt and see what it lists for a wheel as it must have a bar code/ part number I would think. But hey, I must be lying about all this too I'm sure
This car has been being built up now for over a year and just about everything we have done to it has been posted here on PFF for all to see just like many others have done on their Fieros as well. It would be pretty hard to fake or make up stuff when it's all posted right here for any and all to see. Why would I anyway? Doesn't make sense to me but I guess it just gives people stuff to argue about which is pretty sad. When we give out any info it is based on what we know and/or what we were told. The things we do to any of our Fieros is based on our experiences, our research, our testing, our shopping around, our asking questions, even sometimes our own R&D if you will, etc etc etc
Datacop, we have never claimed to be experts. I doubt anyones a true expert. We are learning as we go. We make mistakes too just like anyone else. Thats part of the fun. We offer the pics and descriptions of what we do as is as you see them (show me who doesn't?) of which anyone can take them anyway they want. You like what we do thats great. You don't, well thats ok too as your civil about it. Just because a certain MOD works a certain way for one doesn't always guarentee another will have the exact same results. I have tried to copy some mods in the past that I have seen done and have not gotten the same results at all, so believe me I know this fact first hand. I would always recommend to anyone that before they go and try and do what they have seen someone else do, that they should always still do their homework, do some research and always ask questions first if your not sure. I have done this many times with good results

Lex, I have to say that for all the many many many many times you have been a jerk to me and others I wonder how much of your suddenly 180 degree turn now being nice is based on the fact that your ratings bar has finally showed up and you have discovered just how much of that growing bar of yours was red? If you are truly being nice not because of that then I for one would like say thanks for the kind words To answer your question about the altezza tail lights, I don't have as many build up pics taken as I would have liked as we did this pretty quickly to try and get them as close to finished as possible for the show we went to the next day. I do have a few more pics I can post for you and any others who are interested

Who's us? Who's we? You are the problem.

How you still have lots of green is beyond me.
Maybe because I am hitting you with the truth? Might want to think about that one.
quote
Go look at any of the threads I have started in the past months and you Firefox among a few others will be one of the very first to jump in with insults and bashing.
No, I only hit you with insults in one thread. The rest were just to tell you that there are too many pics. That's not bashing, that's my opinion and apparently the opinion of many others.
quote
That is why they get messed up, thrown off topic and then finally sent to the trash.
They get sent to the trash because YOU won't come clean when called on your lying.
quote
If some of you complainers don't believe us I really could care less.
We know. It shows. And your credibility shows, too.

If we posted this by typing the info only, some of you would be saying the post is worthless without pics. So we post pics and some of you still are not satisfied. We are building our cars the way we like Firefox, not the way you want or in a way that will satisfy you.
Personally, I don't care what you do with your car. How we see too much of it is another issue, and as I mentioned in my last post, I haven't commented in this thread about your posting pics because it's a Jordan thread and it's expected here. I have respected that part of this thread, and I don't get any credit for it? Thanks.
quote
If the pics are not good enough for you, then drive on up here and I will give you a ride. Oh I know, you live too far away. Well, thats not my problem and I guess then that the pics will just have to do
I don't care if it runs or not. Personally, after all the crap you spew, I'd love to see the thing grenade so we can all laugh at you, but as Chester mentioned, I don't want to see someone try to install a NOS system in their own car and trash it because you didn't do it right. It's kind of like painting your car outside under a couple of canopys in the grass behind the barn. You just don't do that! Hopefully no one is going to try and paint their car that way, but you proved that there are some stupid enough to do it that way. Do you understand that?
quote
I think that says a lot about some of you who seem to always be the ones complaining.
I think it says a lot about you that so many people are telling you stuff and you aren't listening. Some of these wonderful people are calling on your incomplete/inaccurate/intentionally misleading information. Funny how your story changes whenever you are called on it. You have no credibility, and you are now a target. Your own fault.
quote
Some of you never seem to be happy here, never seem to believe anyone and just continually pick the posts apart no matter what anyone says.
Seems the only person being 'picked on' is you. You aren't believed. Maybe you need to catch that clue.
quote
So Firefox why should I keep responding here to your questions when no matter what I say, no matter what pic I post you obviously just aren't going to be satisfied? If you don't like what I post, why are you always in my threads causing problems?.
I'm not asking you questions, or didn't you notice that? I just pointed out to a couple of folks that you change your story and can't handle the truth. Wy don't you respond to the good people here that are asking for clarification of your information so that they can get it straight. Or, can't you do that? As for causing problems in your threads, what part of the truth can't you handle?

In regards to the lights - Nice mod Steve, I always thought the notchs lights were a bit boring, and that looks like it has potential. Anymore pics?
Thanks. As I said I will try and post some more pics of them later today.

We didn't put the NOS in just for more HP, as it already does the speed limit quite nicely and then some Many of the kinds of shows that this car has and will contintue to be going to is the custom compact shows, where having NOS installed seems to be the norm and expected. Since his car is based largly on the Fast and Furious phenomenon which NOS is a big part of it as we all know we knew that it had to be a part of his car as well. How much we actually use it will probably be very little at best simply for that reason, however once the purge valves are set up we will use that as part of the "show" for his vehicle.

To bad this thread will probably go to the trash, it was fairly civil until your little show.
I hope not but then again that has sadly been the history of most of our threads so far hasn't it

Have a nice day.
Mark

Just like everyone said...cut the BS....it was the same thing with the Carlisle stuff....this car wasn't anything special to get invited to Carlisle! ANYONE can get invited as long as they send in pics and fill out a form...You happened to leave that information...I'm sure you're not a bad guy Steve but seriously people are starting to tire of this.
It seems that you are cruel so much that by now you figured if you were nice it just might kill you. If you were thinking that was a threat to kill you then you are not the sharpest or the brightest crayon in the box.
I didn't think it was a threat to kill me, but the way that sentence was put together.....Well I just didn't understand.

The sytem we have is called a dry 40/75 HP adjustable system, but everyone around us including Holley just kept calling it a 75 shot system which was why we worded it like that. Based on Holleys recommendations based off of what we told them we agreed and went with the smallest valve available which was the 40 valve I believe. As Jordans F&F Fiero is after all only a 4 cyl and this set up was for as much or more show than go that made since for what we wanted and needed realistically. Again we are still learning on this stuff so if you need for specific info let me know and I can try and find out.

Trash talk? Hmmm.....don't like the truth? That's how you deal with it. Just turn your back and it all goes away.
Nice, Steve. Great example for your son. You are the man!
At least I stand behind what I say, and if I am wrong I apologize and try to correct it. I've done that on Pennocks a few times, but you? Hmmm......
KMA, Steve. You suck.
Mark
Yeah whatever you say Mark. Your obviously the expert here and the forum know it all. I have never opologized on here before? Whatever you say Mr. know it all. Though I can't remember ever seeing when you ever have? but anyway, like Cliff said, I certainly have a few that constantly like to follow me around and stalk me on this forum and you are most certainly one of them For the record Mr. know it all, I stand behind what I say and if some of the info I get or give out turns out to be incorrect in anyway I will say so. Now go pick someone else to stalk or maybe better yet get a clue and just stop period.

And I thought you meant that because he was actually nice for once he didn't get anymore negs for doing so and so was still alive (not banned).
As far as the "bar goes", big deal......No reason to suck up until it starts blinking. Actually, I really don't care about the bar. If I get banned, life will go on.....I have enough info to do the 3800 swap now.

Are you an expert on Carlisle shows? Do you work for them? We were actually there, were you? Obviously not because what you just said is not true. If that was actually true, at least for this year anyway, then why wasn't there more cars inside? They had a 200 car capacity and only filled about 150 or so. From what I heard they actually turned quite a few away as well, so I guess not ANYONE can get invited now can they?
