Black notchies rule!
The hood is a Norman hood named for it's creator. He is from Indiana and made it for his coupe. The FOCA sold copies of this hood in the 90's. It was in very poor condition when I recieved it and needed a great amount of work. So much work it might have been beter to make my own.
On the good side it was molded to a stock under frame and bolts up with all the stock hardware.
I have only see one hood like this and it was the original. At this point he no longer has the same hood on his car.
I dought you can get one since FOCA can't even get out a news letter any longer. Best bet is to look for a used one out there. I am sure since it was molded in California there may be some out there yet.
One mod it did do is to french in the overflow bottle cap and put a chrome cover on it. I also painted my extra overflow bottle black leaving the scale uncoverd to make it less noticable.
It dose help make the front of the car stable at higher speeds and reduces lift from high pressure under the car. It may help cooling but I never ran hot anyway.
Oh! It also makes a great bug defflector. At night you can see moths coming toward the windshield and when they hit the air coming out of the opening they shoot over the roof.

I vote for Standards car, it's so custom, but so stock. so clean, but very wild. in other words, in terms of notchies, it's perfect... Just need to turbo the Quad there standard

i know it would never work but it would be nice if someone unbiased could rank all the notch backs and fast backs and make a list like spikes top 52 or whatever . i know it would end up in the trash can but it would still be neat to see.
i actually wanted to see that car again, im going to try to do the same kinda thing with mine, but its white. whered you get those flushmounts, i want!
sick ride btw.
AND that IS the red on white, thats soo awesome.

Here is a notchback you won't see often: It's an '88 GTU notchback. Those of you who know your Fieros are already mistaken about its imposibility. It IS an '88 notchie. Think of it as the "world's cheapest kit car".
