Ling was the first to be named so i kept with the same genre when naming the others.
but where the name comes from is a pretty long story and not very intersting story. by the time i finished the story you would look at the computer screen with kinda a blank face and say, "oh."

Just out of plain curiousity ... Which detail in pic? Not my old, peeling at he edges "Pennock's" sticker, is it?
Tina
Nope...the quote in German. I got a kick out of that, Tina. My high school German was a little rusty, so I had to find an online translator. I didn't know what "darfst" or "ihn" meant.
Buddy...if I have it right...it says "NO! You may not drive it."

Do you guys want me to post my pix here, or in another thread?
Here is fine, John, unless you want to link to someplace else.
On another note...if you see Brian (your instructor buddy), tell him that in spite of his protests, musicman_L7 clamped the brake hose to his LF caliper, opened the bleeder, pried the caliper away from the rotor, closed the bleeder, and then we drove home the 3.5 hours. I know he was adamant about Nic not doing that....I just thought he might like to know that we made it home with no problems.

Eric........ (and everyone else) just so you know for the future.......
1. Loose objects in the car were not (are NEVER) permitted (i.e. camera) 2. Holding a camera while driving one handed is not smart and certainly a track day rule violation. 3. Doing all of this in the rain close to other cars at high speed is unsafe for you and those around you.
This is so unsafe I don't know where to begin. Had there been even a small touch, there is no car colision or liability insurance while on course. All damage and medical reimbursement would come from the driver at fault. Period. Nevermind that someone could have gotten hurt. I consider you a friend, but as the Track Day Coordinator I can't let something like this slide. Had I or one of the other staff members known about these acts during the event, you would have been asked to leave without a refund. (per the agreement on the website.)
I hope outsiders reading this thread don't think that other Fiero owners act like this or even condone it.
I don't mean to sound like an 4$$, but if someone had gotten hurt, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
Hey! That wasn't me driving. My average times actually beat Brian's!
hehe I dunno I took a large amount of the clips of you 2 and watched emm... so I dont know which one of you that actually was.... hehe but you guys were on the Target list.....
Next Target has been Acquired...... keep tunned to UNN for updates...

Ahh I was hoping somebody would chime in and go over all that. I know full well what I did was wrong and against rules, but as you notice and as people at the track saw. I was always a good distance away from all cars when I was doings something out of the norm. I always tried to stay at the back of the pack, and leave plenty of room for corrections had anything happened.
I'm no expert at this stuff but most of what you see in the videos was done at lesser speeds then done on typical rained on roads. Reason there’s no video once it dried up and speeds got higher. This was and is not smart and I never clamed to be the brightest crayon in the box and that weekend had my head all in a tizzy (Ex Gf stuff) So I was not in the right of mind to start with. I wasn't worried about myself cause even bouncing off the wall at speed wouldn’t of been anything I haven't done in the past. But I was more worried about the others around me. I promise not to do it again because next time I'll have a in car solid mount cam running!! But I Will be having a blast and pushing the limits and upholding my name spinner!! HEHEHE Just remember SAFTY FIRST!!!
PS I don't know what it feels like to drive that course with standard seatbelts but MAN do harnesses really make a huge difference!! I could of never done the stuff I did and stayed in control had I been sliding around and shifting in the seat. I was glued just like the car. Invest in some if you can.. highly recommended!!!
PSS Chalk it up to young and crazy. we only live once....... Sorry Paul but Thank you soooooo very much for the best birthday weekend ever!!!

Dj .... what Paul said !!! As tech inspector I would never haver permitted a hand held camera ! Dangerous ... dangerous !!! I'll be watching at next years event ... so no repeats !!! Everyone !!!
It would just suck to pay the track day fees and then not get to drive !!!

That's wierd... my Windows Media Player can't seem to get the right codec for these - anything specific about the compression, or do I just need to download another new version of WMP?

They played fine on my computer. WMP version 9 with current microsoft updates.

I was apparantly still using a beta copy of WMP - Doh! So after downloading the new release, I ended up running about an hour's worth of Windows Updates too (...and here I thought the automated WinUpdate was supposed to take care of all of that )

yeahhhh another shot of me!! I still wonder if I would of done better had I disconnected my Autos TCC, It would kick in at the end of the 1/4 and the car would boog over the finish line. Or I should of done what I did at the road course and just left it in second!! LOL Yes I'm still trying to nuke it, Its still putting up a fight. Runing the best it ever has in 2 years though! Weird......

Darius... that video rocks! I really appreciate you splicing it together. If I might make a very non-professional suggestion? (I say non-proff) bcz I have NO skill to do what you have done. I think engine noise adds to the overall feel of the video.... and while I love the music, have you tried eiher increasing the gain on the audio portion of the video, or lowering the level of the music to see what it is like?
It may sound crappy... just thinking out loud. I like what you have done with all the editting! Glad I didn't wind up with a 'Rainbow Bright' theme music!
