i agree truckee is not anywhere as good as san simion. It's easy for me to get to but i don't see how it is very central. I'm going to make it though.
Truckee *isn't* central. Funny thing is, we had more people and about the same number of cars at the last Truckee show (2002) as we did in San Simeon. This baffled me. My plan was to do all future shows in central and southern California, because it is centrally located. It didn't seem to make much difference in San Simeon, even with the dirt cheap price of hotel rooms.
We are returning to Truckee because it was a popular show, it is an easy location to work with, and it did *very* well financially. The San Simeon show should have done much better, but didn't break even until weeks afterward, with the sales of leftover t-shirts...of which, by the way, we still have around 15 left. The crazy thing is, we have more shirts left after San Simeon than we did in Vegas, and the Vegas show had fewer cars registered and fewer people in attendance.

You'd better not be as pokey at putting that engine back together as you are at typing. I had that thing torn down to nothing while you were working on that one post. I better not have to come back up there and do it for you

I took it all the way down and cleaned out the block .Polished the crank, new bearing.new mains.honed it a bit,new rings.Just need to get the cam and she can go all the back together. They don't call me pokey for nothing.
It's going to be a fun run.I won't be so slow now.
Anybody got any suggestions for stock speaker replacements.I can't take another trip with these crappy blown out stock ones.

Just hit up Crutchfield. Theres only like 4 options for 4x10s for the dash, but if you can find the threads, you can put 6x9s there instead. Same story on the 4x6s in the B pillars. Theres a lot of room behind the interior panels, so you can put 4x6 plate speakers in there instead if you make an adapter thing. There was a thead on that, too. I forget if it had Performance Sound, but if it does, there's Rodney's sub.
I've got Pioneers up front, Pyles in the back, and my custom sub box you saw with 8" JL Audio sub. Sounds pretty darn good if I do say so myself.
