Here is a variety of modded designs from reshaping the back a little to adding a body kit to a major revamp of the back then again with a body kit. unchopped and chopped versions. The last one is one I like.

Yeah, me too, but I like them all.
This is why the build thread has to be seperate from the idea thread. The design is evolving a lot faster than the builder can keep up.
If I had delayed deciding to build the car until today, it would be real hard to decide which one to build.
I've printed out several of these for inspiration.

I really like the wheels on this one. I think it matches the car perfectly. For my taste anyways.
I will say that I do like the Original Taillights better. I know a lot on here have said they wanted something different. I'll say that it was right from the start.
Nice PS skills.

I'll take it! I had been thinking about a Finale rebody to my SE, but if this becomes a kit, I'll have to the F1-Spyder. Red looks really good, too.
I've also been following the K1 Attack for well over a year, and like that idea, but can't quite afford it. The (PF)F1-Spyder would be the next best thing, better since I can throw an LS2 in it easy enough. Now, where can I find a wrecked C6 to get that engine from?

I like this one best also... I like how you fixed the front bumper, and how you continued the indent/moulding (whatever you want to call it) to the rear bumper. The continuity is nice. The tail lights look good also, but Archie said he already ordered the other ones right? The rockers are cool too, bringing them out under the scoop was a good idea. Plus I like the colour

omg ... I thin this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. If this is made .. I will buy it. I would love to see some conceptual artwork of the front and rear. What is the size of the rims in perspective to the car? 17's, 18's? Is there anyway to lower the front lip like a chin spoiler like on Skitimes car .. that would look mean. Great work everyone, I can't wait to see more.

Its very simple, and I tried to keep with what AusFiero photoshopped as the F1-Spyder at the sides with the rockers/vents/writing... I also kept the tail lights because Archie mentioned he already purchased those. I got rid of two rectangular vents up top, and Archie said those would be on the new model so I kept the rest of them. Brought the rear bumper out slightly, and then added that moulding/indent to the bumper to continue the theme throughout the rear. Its not bad I guess, very simple.
Or you could just throw on a viper rear end and all is well

Looking at my 2001 Firehawk Convertible (Trans Am) I would say it is almost a dead ringer for that rear end and trunk spoiler. Very similar in appearance IMHO.
I am only speaking about the upper portion not the bumper.

Well since everyone else is playing, I slimmed up the side scoop, lowered the front suspension, extended the airdam, and put a bigger tire on the rear.

You know you've made a Finale when you look at Aus and doubleC4's beautiful renderings and only go, "Oh God that's a lot more fiberglass work..." Loving the look of it though. Okay, that bein said, requests (going off of Aus's last red one):
SHAVE DOOR HANDLES!!! Ruin lines to me. Rockers & valences smoothed Rear rocker lowered somewhat, nothing amazingly drastic Raked back windshield may leave us 6'2"+ hangin out in the wind Open wing as is original pick Smoothed slats as stated before Change up the rear view mirrors to smaller sleeker version (know it'll screw with shadow there... sorry) Bonneville taillights (Obvious reasons as to why i'm partial to that...) Smooth indent around taillights Possible deck scoop either between seats (bad idea in my opinion due to the face that major wind through cab would be necessary to get air in) or on the outside of the "headrest humps" (don't know what to call them)
And on DoubleC4's most recent back: Bare above comments in mind Not sure about the lip... maybe use orig. US license plate indent and smooth in the lower euro license plate, leave the rest as is on the orig. Rockers don't look too bad, but I think I like stock better
That's all I can think of. Making great progress. Good luck. And, I don't have PIP on any of the comps I post from, but if you'd like to work with our Finale, by all means. Prolly would be more work to make it a convertible than to chop pieces from it. I don't remember the name of the thread but i'm sure it wouldn't be horribly hard to find with a search, which i'm too lazy at the moment to do. Sorry. Good evening and good luck.
For a name, I was thinking Borealis or Aurora Boralis.. Finale is the end, so this would be the lights in the sky at the end of the day. Yeah, a little weak I know. But then I remembered that the southern hemisphere's counterpart is called "Aurora Australis" - little bit of tribute to Aus' photochopping. Maybe that sounds too much like the Olds Aurora?
They're probably too big but I wonder what the '02 Sebring headlights would look like on a Finale?

You're damn right! Aus and C4 aren't the only ones with good ideas. I decided to do my very own - I call it the EconoFinale F-150:
Now before you all get excited and start begging Archie for your very own, let's remember that Archie has other things to do than make cars and the kit probably won't be out for a few months. I realize how frustrating this is, but think about the mass production facilities Archie has to set up - we all know this is going to be a big seller - especially with the shaved door handles! Bottom line: be patient.
Sorry I don't have Photoshop so I couldn't do a great job - but I think this gives you a general idea of the design. If anyone wants a higher quality version I will make them on request after illegally downloading the necessary software.

Just hang on, they'll be catching up with you.
Watching this exercise develope, I recall one of my pet peeves about the big three automakers.
Automakers design something that fits it's intended market perfectly. Then as a few years go by the car gets heavier, longer, wider to the point where it not longer serves the market it was targeted at. Examples? Dodge Neon, was perfect for the market it was designed for. Ten years later it had evolved right out of that target market segment. Another example? Ford Escort, perfect car for it's target market. Got Heavier, longer, wider & more fully optioned that 12 years after it's introduction it was bigger than the Taurus was when the escort was introduced. Of course the taurus grew too.
So too has the PFF Spyder evolved to where you might be better off to use a Honda 2000, an Eclipse, or a M3 as a donor car.
I'm glad I decided to get on this as soon as Aus posted the original drawings, because now the decission would be hard to make.
There have been several very good ideas that we are going to put into this car & several others that we (PFF) will look at as we go.
Hey! I see my Viper/Fiero mod idea surfaced again ^_^ The Speedster Idea is AWESOME! It would definitely be something I'd save up for, especially with that Viper rear end!

I have a Mazda6 (I say that like it's mine but we all know when we are married the new car really belongs to the wife and we get the project car)... I've been looking at the lights for a while and thinking about putting them on my finale. I haven't decided yet but I'll take some measurements and post some pictures for you this weekend.
