Well i'm in my driveway jacking up the wifes Grand am and i notice this guy creeping by my house and staring like he was gonna do a hit on me. Well he backs up and calls me over. I'm thinking great what have i done this time and when i ask him whats going on he asks me that dreaded question ,"are you a fan of the fiero?" . I arch my shoulders back and stick out my chest and proudly say yes i am! He starts going of "I drive by every morning and haven't seen that (my fiero) there and i just cought a glimps and had to stop" . He continues to tell me that he helped start the fiero plant and worked there until they closed it. This would mean he build my car, awsome! Well he continues on to tell me he's got all kinds of memorabilia and the such, books, cups and a bunch of other stuff! He said he'd get it and bring it over for me so it could be better appreciated. How cool is this ! I'm still all wound up about it like a kid on christmas eve. Hopefully he has some cool stuff and wasn't just yanking my chain . I'll keep everyone posted when/if he returns. Wish me luck!
p.s. i'll post pics of the stuff if i get hooked up

Get his name and contact info. Even if he doesn't want it posted here, he might be needed in the future. Ask him if he wants us to let him know about our 25th anniversary plans, when the time comes.
Great post. Thanks!

He stopped back by and gave me a bourbon glass with the fiero logo on it and a yerabook type book with all the plant workers and such. Haven't had a chance to inspect it thuroghly. He says he's got stuff from when Hall and Oates raced the GTU and a bunch more.He said he'd keep stopping by as he found more stuff. pics are coming i promise.

Ok i thumbed thru the book and found some cool things. There is a specialty car display that has the 100,000th fiero made and an areo notchie no wait whats this its a roadster It even looks as if the windsheild has been laid back and shortened ! Sweeeeeet. There are some pics of various race fieros from GTU ,GTP and scca pro rally ! A color pic of Hall and Oates with the GT notchie on the assembly line. A sweet color pic of the chassis on the "mill and drill " machine and an Indy in turn one at indianapolis . All i can say is wow. The last page has some comments made by various magazine and such as they reveiwed the fiero, here are a few. "Fiero sales on fire" (imagine that ,as i shake my head) , "Pontiac fiero starts out like a rocket! " , " Few cars i've driven have spun heads or attracted more excited attention on the street." Thats what this fiero enthuesiest likes to hear
Oh man, you got the Year Book. That makes the third book I know of. I been trying to get my hands on one of those for a long time. It's black with the pictures of all the workers in it. The second book I tried to get went to Europe. My server went down before I could place a bid and I was pissed for a week after that. Since you looked thought the book you can tell why I want it so bad. Lucky Ba****d

Just doing some reading in my new bada** yearbook . The fiero was going to originally be called the sunfire .Thank god a man named Calvin Queen stepped up and said that was an unoriginal name for a car that was so revolutionary. I think I'm gonna be up all night!

Just think of what would have happened if they did name the Fiero something with the word "Fire". Bad enough all the letters are there! Firebird, Firehawk, Firenza, Sunfire.... The press would have had a field day. I could see the headlines now: Firebird's a burnin! Firehawk down! Pontiac Fire-nza-back! Sun-Fire away!
Im glad they decided on The Fiero.
Oh yea, you better get us some pictures or copies...

What in the world is someone like that doing in a place like that? No offence meant, that is just a little town just outside of the middle of nowhere. I guess I have room to talk. There is a guy that lives about 1/2 mile away from me that helped develop the 8-track.

That is very cool! Do you have any pics taken yet? It would be great if people that have some of this rare stuff like this year book could take it somewhere and get it reproduced as a collectors item. I know I would buy a couple if reproduced and I am sure others would as well certainly making it worth the trouble

Please say you were only joking.

OH MY!!! That is freakin' awesome! I must have one of these, or at least a good color photo copied one at least. How many of these are supposed to be out there and what are the chances of some of the rest of us getting one at some point as well? I am serious FIEROPHREK, if you took this to a kinkos or any copy place (depending on copywrite issues as to who may be willing to do it) and were able to make color copies of the book and sell them, you could make a killing
I'll try to get good quality reproductions of this book if i can. I'm not sure about copywriting because there are no publisher marks on this book .This might be good for getting it reproduced, who knows. There is one page in the very back of the book that has been removed but other than that the book is i really good shape. I'll have to do some researchimg in the local area to see if there are any print shops that would be able to do this without destroying the book. Anyone who wants one just pm me and i'll make a list and get back with you when i find something.
