Well I will keep this running for 2 more days. A lot of good ideas and I have some favourites.
Based on another lense I just found.

The angle of the slots is wrong. It is like you are looking down into the lens..
Make the angle parallel with the ground to give it some depth.

I just did a few more:
Testarossa lights (with the slats that run horizontally)
Countach lights on a red panel
OpelGT lenses horizontally (originally they are on a 45degree slope)
I have to get a few in before the deadline

This is my Iron Cross Design. Found these lights on a cool custom chopper site.

I haven't even decided who's design won yet. I have had a huge influx of work come in so I am working most of the time at present.

Got it down to 4 designs I like. 2 of them being my own. Still haven't had a good look at them for a few days though. Too much on at present with rush jobs.

Apparently based on voting I did in another thread I did. Now all I need to find is a good source for LED lights.

as an ordinary consumer, this is where i got my leds:
http://www.jamstrait.com/1157s.htm these leds in my experience are high quality, bright as hell , excellent socket fit, & has longitivity.
from what i have used in the past(APC=junk : really bad socket fit, brittle in contruction, leds burnt on an average of 1 month, intermittent--just hookey design & craftsmanship).
the jamstrait leds have yet to fail me..
btw my current tail lights look like this pic: i used lens tint spray(painted from the inside) to get the "smoke" look. the leds blasts through them quite nicely.
