Well, this time last year I drove "SmoothGT" up to Jefferson, Texas for the "Red River Rukus Redux". It was my first time to meet other forum members. It was great. Even though I blew a lower coolant line hose about 5 miles from the hotel, lake, etc...lol This year (RRRRR) is in San Angelo, Texas with Maryjane hosting it and doing ALOT of footwork for it to go smooth and fun!! Thanks Don for the effort! We all really appreciate you!! I was unable to attend the very first "Red river Rukus"(RRR) that was held around the Texas/Oklahoma line. But, i made it last year and had to miss this year due to the fact that my mom just got out of the hospital. So, It looks like I will be attending this event every other year... Yesterday she came home from having a Mid-Calf amputation... She is doing very well, physically, and most important Metally doing absolutely wonderful for having this done last Monday. I have recieved a TON of support here from PFF. Thank You PFF and Mr. Pennock!!! Anyways, Enough rambling on my part and back to the question... Where all the "RRRRR" pic's from this weekend. I know that 'cliffw' posted lastnight that he was indeed there in San Angelo.
So, We need PICTURES!! I hope that everyone has a safe trip there and back home!
I want to thank Don and MaryJane York again for all the help and support they put into bring the R3 together.
Other people involved that I can remember right off my thoughts are: Chuck Hodges Brian Hodges John Fussell Blake Moore Mike Parker (DarkWing) and I am sure there are others I am leaving out, but I am not great with names until I see you, then I remember.
Thanks goes out to all those that attended to have fun and make this a success.
The Fiero games included: Stop on a dime Slow Drag Race LugNut in a bucket Chinese fire drill Blind fold autocross
Here are my pics :

thats actually the only fiero ive seen with the big stands that i liked ( no offense to anyone else whose got them, they're just not my cup of orange juice )
Thanks Loyde. The most important part of these events is the particiants, and I'm really overcome with the #'s that made the drive out here. . I believe there were 18 cars, and all but 3 were from more than 200 miles away. I had planned on posting some pics this morning and last night, but haven't located my camera yet. I have a sinking feeling I left it atop my old jeep, and it fell off last night. Everyone left after the 9am breakfast, so I doubt most have made it home yet. Kevin pulled out of Angelo around 11am. Jane & I honestly had more fun this weekend, than in many years. I got to O'Rielly's around 8am to start setting up, and a while later HEARD then SAW you guys coming off 306, and down Sherwood Way, I was duly impressed. What a sight for me out here in West Texas. Again, the thanks and appreciation goes out to you guys and girls. The word is, next year-------Hill Country or DFW!!! I'm IN either way!!

Thanks Lloyd for the pictures... I know there will be more later after everyone gets home. It is an 'even-year' next year so that means I will be there...lol Thanks Don for doing all that you did!! You are the man!!
I made it back okay... Proud-2 made it back to Houston under it's own power...Unlike Revin's magnificent 3800SC which was towed back to P'ville
I had fun on my frist trip to west Texas, (not including El Paso which is really west Texas). I know some folks were disappointed that I brought Proud-2...Funny when I used to bring Proud-1 to events everybody was looking for Proud-2
The best moment was when 16 or so Fieros rolled into the pontiac dealer. I offered my car in even trade for a 2005 GTO...the sales manager said "how about 2 of yours for the GTO" and I said no problem...can I get that in writing
Yep, the folks from Okla were there and great to see em too. As Jcott1 was saying, it's really hard to put a PFF name with a face at these things. We GOTTA have name tags next time.
I went by O'Rielly's this morning after breakfast and made sure our site was clean. We left it like we found it, with the exception of Loyde's and Revin's tire marks I went in and again thanked them for letting us hold it there, use of the restroom facilites, and the giveaways they provided, and the young guy behind the counter told me we brought them a LOT of business Saturday, so it worked out well for all. (anyone need a pen or pencil?)
my 35mm camera is officially missing, so if anyone happens to find it, lmK, tho there is no telling where I laid it down at. I'm guessing it's flattened out on the highway somewhere.
One of the local visitors left me contact info on a Fiero that has been sitting in a lady's back yard for the last 5 yrs, about 15 miles south of here, so I guess I'll go check it out next weekend. Darn!! I plain forgot to tell ya'll about it while you were here, didn't I!? heh heh.

I swore after breaking down on the last Roundup that I would trailer to all out of town events.... Well I drove to San Angelo because the car has been running so well lately. So I modify that to say that I will trailer to all out of town events, unless I have been using the car as a daily driver for the previous month.
And I'm happy that I got over 28 MPG on the 2.8. I know some of y'all get 30+ but I never got 28 mpg on my duke.
Ps if anybody wants a high resolution shot of their car PM me with a email address. They are about half meg a piece.

I will rebuild the front end this winter THEN I will feel better about long road trips! Besides I worry very much about breaking down, going for help then comeing back to find a ripped off car! I will be ready for everything next year

34 mpg on my Quad 4 between San Angelo and San Antonio. Must have been the new alternator I installed in the Autozone parking lot Saturday morning! It's predecessor (a Duralast remanufactured from Autozone) had less than 8 hours on it when the rear bearing spun.
I thought you said that was your girl in your sig..?? They don't look the same to me.. I need more pics of yours please... How did you break down..?? Engine..??

Okay everyone, I apologize to Revin for using the passive voice and implying that he broke down... He towed his car back BY CHOICE; it did not break down.
