If bandwidth wouldn't be a problem , how about a section were forum members can upload and download video's of fiero's in action. My brother showed me his fav site www.f-bodyhideout.com and it has a cool video section were you can choose a vid and watch f-bodies in action . Just my two cents.

P.S. Cliff this forum is awsome.

Yeah I agree with Cliff. People are FOR the trolls and flame starters, otherwise the problem members would be gone.

Its really sad that there are fellow members out there that accept this type of behavior.

Good Job.......You are letting them SH!T in Cliffs house.

Im no well respected member or well known. Im a TRUE FIERO LOVER. Fieros come 1st...everything else is a distant 3rd.
Maybe thats the problem, people have forgotten WHY this place was created.

Thanks Alot.

Delaware,

Who were you directing your above post to? If it is me, could you enlighten me to what you are talking about?

Thanks!

I believe Delaware was directing his post at the forum members in general who are giving positives to the troublemakers that the rest of the forum is trying so hard to get rid of.

I don't believe it was directed at you, WingNut.

Awesome! Thank you sir!

Another suggestion...?
It would be cool if there were a way to do local backups of our PMs. (Has this been suggested already?)
It's probably waaaay down the list, though.

I didn't think it was to me, but after reading it several times, I just was not sure. Just wanted clarification.

Guys Cliff has said over and over that he doesn't want moderators, so let's not waste his time suggesting it over and over...instead let's moderate ourselves and behave appropriately or can those who can't!

I have only read page one, but I do think that you should have an entry to site page for all newcomers, who have to read it before becoming a Member. This page could explain all the procedures, taboos and ways to go..make it so there is no entry until they have read it, and answered an "exam" to prove they have read it.At the moment, it appears that you can browse through the site, and register without really understanding the site. That way, at least somebody interested enough to read and learn the correct way to use the Forum, would learn at the start..and anybody who can´t be bothered to learn, shouldn´t really be a Member anyhow!!
The exam could follow the lines of
!. Where could you find collective information about Specific Fiero problems? Answer: Ogres Cave.
2.What should I do to see if my question has already been answered before posting it?Answer: Use the relevant search section.
3. Why do I need a sig, and how do I make one, and what are the limits? Answer.errrr...I´m not sure of that either!!
4.What is the ratings bar for?Answer: to identify people who promote good use of any section of the Forum, or give good proven advice, or to warn people that their conduct is not approved of by many peopleon the Forum.
5.Who is the Moderator, and what is his purpose? Answer:Cliff Pennock, to keep a reasonable control of the Forum
6.What can I post in each different section? fill this in yourself!!!
Just an idea...if somebody wants to join the PFF, let´s see if they will study the rules first!!
And finally, I feel that the negative rating for a Member by another Member, could be sorted out in private first. If you wish to give a Member a neg, you must first PM him with your complaint, and explain why you are giving a neg.The person then being rated can try to resolve the problem...if it can´t be resolved privately, then allow the neg to be posted. If that Member continues to be offensive etc after having been given the chance to resolve the problem,he should be banned ...from posting in that section only or given 10 strikes and out...each strike coming within a set time ,from different Members. ie..somebody hijacks a thread to abuse somebody, and enough people consider him to be out of line, in 48 hours, for example, he will be banned.
I guess this sounds complicated, but ..
fierofetish.

make it so that anyone that starts a thread has the power to boot ppl that might pose problems of having that thread trashed from trolls. Now ppl might think that trolls will have to power to stir stuff up with starting abusive threads, But I usally see a trolls thread go to the trashcan anyway.

This would save alot of good threads on this forum.

No, threads that have been inactive for more than three months will get archived eventually...

From anther post I started about donations, avengador1 had a great idea,

quote

Maybe if Cliff added a window that showed the total of donations for the month, it would encourage people to donate, especially if they saw a low total. Just a suggestion.

Wow, I THINK THAT IS A GREAT IDEA !!!!!

I forwarded a PM to Cliff, hope he likes it to. Thanks avengador1

How about a couple sticky threads in the Mall about buyers/sellers, we can post feedback and how our transactions went with other sellers and new sellers/buyers can read these items and base their buying/selling decision off that.

I like this idea, the info is on here but you have to look for it. It would be cool to have a counter at the top showing donations for the month.

wrong post

I have not read the entire thread, so I hope I am not repeating someone else. How about the pages listed at each the top like they are at the bottom for each section like tech, general chat, mall, etc.

Cliff, is it possible to allow us to select what parts of the sections that we want to see? For example, in O/T, there are 8 different topics under the O/T banner, but say I want to read everything except the " Politics " topic, I have to go into each of the other topics to read them. Can you set something up so we can block off a certain topic?

Thanks.

Mark, If anyones ruining this thread and looking stupid it's you (once again) with your constant insulting remarks. Really, why can't you just stop? Those links I posted for you prove once again that you lie and make up stuff to try and get me negs and "try" and make yourself look good. Your ratings gauge seems to prove it isn't working too well anymore so instead of insulting people all the time why don't you instead try and be a little nicer more often? I think thats what the majority of the PFF members have made it pretty clear we want.
Now lets try and keep this thread on track..

Well after eading the last 8 or 9 posts I thought of something. How about a
"troll" option under the "rate this member" option. When a member is trolling they can be booted from posting in the thread with a minimal number (10-15 ) of votes. These troll votes CAN NOT be countered with positives to keep the troll ,trolling . The member will still be able to start differant threads and post in differant threads just not the one he/she got booted from.
