The amazing thing is that all but one of these so far were near walk-away accidents for the Fiero drivers. The one that wasn't was the head-on into the red pickup, that one was a fatality IIRC. Here's the golf course photos that I resized and cropped:

Fie Ro was that your car? How bad did you get hurt??
Yes it was. I was in the hospital for 5 days but I think I was very lucky. I had a broken bone in my right foot and some scarves on my body and face (no seatbelts!! I use them ALWAYS now.) I still have a few marks but they're barely noticiable.
I learned a few things after this... - please drive save - Fiero's are save. I bought another one a few months later and still driving it for almost 6 years now. - life is precious...

I was hit in october 2003 by a drunk driver, here is my baby I miss more and more everyday, I may be getting another Fiero tomorrow, my roomate blew up the engine in my 99 Dodge Neon R/T Last weekend and I dont feel like fixing it yet, so I may buy another Fiero tomorrow =)
This is what m0sh_man did to his car last year. Not much damage for something that went over a hill, launched off a rock on its side, slid between two trees and landed upright changed the tire and drove it home. These cars are like dunebuggys. The car is now white and the daily driver

Fie Ro, that was your car? I showed pics from your web page to people at work. Of course they said "see, Fieros crumple up to nothing". Then they see where you state how fast you where going. They, and myself included, cant believe your still alive! I guess you had an angel on your shoulder that day!
As for my wrecks.
1) '86 GT I was side swiped on an off ramp. $1350 in repairs.
2) same GT ex-gf ran drivers front corner into a nissan p/u. Nissan, totaled. Fiero, about $800 to repair.
3) same GT hit and run on my car. back left corner. $2800 in repairs. (Dealership had to pay for this one )
'86 GT, parted and sold carcuss for $500. I dont know if the car had bad luck or if it was the fact it was red! It just seemed people aimed right for it! now I drive a mutt '87 GT!

That's what mine looked like when I first got it. http://cardomain.com/id/fierodrew Mine was from a drunk driver/stoner... ""apparently"" he slid it sideways into a snowbank, but the damage was a bit more intense than that...

It hurts to see everybody's pics. This happened last month,we were hit head on. My son was in the car with me, we walked away from it but he was kept overnight for observation then released. We have completely recovered. I miss my Fiero. Here goes, this is the first time I have used PIP. Kevin

The wheels on that car....they look just like the Grand Prix wheels for the 97/98 Widetracks.....would I be correct?

From what I've seen so far. . . some-how, some-way, these little cars are like little tanks. Considering almost everybody in all the crashes WALKED away from those horrible accidents. Pretty damn good.

Guy at work saw me drive in with my fiero and asked if i like those cars. I replied I love these as a matter of fact I have two. He says he had an 86 gt and flipped it end over end and walked away with just cuts from the sunroof breaking!! Tanks, dunebuggys, or whatever you want to tag them I'm convinced!!
At the time they were being made they were one of the few cars sold in this country with the highest crash safety rating. They are very safe cars indeed.
the wheels on my gold fiero (above) the front wheel that is still on the car was from a dodge neon, a 14x6 rim, i busted one of them, so they are no longer used.
currently my car is in my sig, its painted ford snow white, and has 17x7 adr spade rims on them.

yes they seem to be very safe the only thing sometimes your legs arent guaranteed safety that seems to be the only injury Ive heard of is your legs... anyone know of other injuries?
I might as well chime in how my first fiero ended its life.
Made it out w/ a chest contusion from my seatbelt and a 1inch scratch on my check. I still have the sunroof without a scratch somehow even though the car landed on its roof.

wow you guys put my 10' drop into the woods to shame
all the damage that came out of that leap was a snapped stearing rack, broken windshield, busted fender, and the front suspension cross bember was bent about 1/4" in on each side throwing the camber off a tad

this is when me and my brother were off to napa to buy some parts for the al head 2.8 motor...but a deer had other plans....chopped the deer in 3 pieces(1 landed on the other side of a divided highway)....after the deer we continued off the road and hit about 3 or small trees until we hit the big one that stopped us.my brother was not wearing his seatbelt and he walked away unscathed.the steering wheel is bent like a potatoe chip
