hi all, i think its a greate idea to re-desighn a car around,or based on the fiero frame, here is a re-desighned photoshoped version of bubbajoes car, since it has the 11" stretch to it, i used it, i hope he does not mind, the 1/4 window got stretched back some, changed the side scoop some, added the cowel hood scoop to allow for more air to flow in thru the bumper and out thru the hood and over the car. i also extended the notchback look to match the stretch, the stock bumpers got pulled down to match the side skirts. it looks very low, "this the road racing version" lol. this is just an idea to get some minds running.

i got a picture of my fiero with some difrent mods done to it that kind of mak it look, well difrent. ill post later.

------------------
mod it until is perfect.

First I love the orange picture of the Fiero and thing that would be a great prototype. I'm also kinda both ways on bringing back the Fiero. They could certainly make competition for the Miata and with great pricing they could possibly sell alot. I really don't think they would and don't know what would happen if they did but I too like driving something that is Different from everything else. I say, just like everyone else, that you just make one yourself then you'd really have a one of a kind Fiero. here are a couple more pictures i found of some possible ideas.

Glad to see this thread revived but would like matters to be talked about in the othre thread i posted since the idea of proposing this to GM was dropped somewhere on the 2nd page and was concluded it would be better to "make" these cars off of fiero frames from scratch & depending on how far we go & sell them. Or just take the ideas mustered up and do them to our own cars(that'll probably be the option that happens and not the making & selling one)
So yeha...lol

A redesign of the front trunk area would be easy - take a few cues from the '73 porsche 914 that had a compacting full size spare (the tire collapsed to save space) flat ont he bottom with carpet overtop.. with hood vents the trunk liner can be less sloped and go overtop the rack.

yeah using the global engine and 6speed setup would be a good idea..

then maybe hand it too em with a plazma body on it

Ok here's my take on the 2008 Fiero, if I wanted a "new" Fiero, I would take a page from the kitcar guys and either buy or build or have built a new custom chasis and use the "old" fiero tub inside of it, that way you would have a suspension system built the right way, not just trying to fix something that wasn't made for the kind of performance I was looking for, not to mention being able to set it up to use the engine option you want, PLUS I think but not sure, that if you used the old tub you can still use the VIN# (I'm not really sure on this but I think you have to use a certain % of the original car to do this) so it would still technically be a Fiero , the funny thing is you would be building a "kit car" of the car you used to build the "kit car"
