This is the project I have been working on for a few days now. Almost got one side piece mounted, haven't even started to mount the other side. This is the camaro spoiler from this thread https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/046650.html . Decided to snap a few pics. Hope you like it.
Hopfully it will be done by next week. I just need more practice fiberglassing. Later, Jon

I love those little camaro lip spoilers! How much cutting/trimming/glassing was it to do? I know one I can have for free, but it looks like a lot of work to make it look right.

i like it, but if it were me i'd ditch the light, or possibly make a row of LED lights all the way across like on some of the newer caddys

Any body else who has done this got any more pics? Preferably of the side pieces? I like the way Master Tuner Akimoto's is done in those pics from the other thread but does he or anybody else have any better pics of the sides? I'm trying to decide exactly how I'm going to do the sides.
in order to get it in line with the fender you have to cut ends in pieces then glass it in then sand it to blend in with the fender . this is what I use the caddi 2002 32 LED for my third brakelight turned upside down.

looks good... make sure that you blend those ridges at the side so that they flow with the body lines and dont just intersect the molding at the reflecter. Do you have any pictures of the whole car? I havent seen too many red GTs with the flat black aero pieces.

UPDATE******* I have been working on this project off and on (mostly off) over the past few months. I finally took some advice and bought an orbital sander. It works WONDERS! Last weekend I made a lot of progress on it. I have pictures but they are too big to and pip wont let me post them.
Can anyone show me how to downsize them so I can post them? Or I could email them to someone who can host them.

LOL - I thought you might find that your progress would speed up if you had one of those I'll have to stop by and see how it's going - go ahead and email the photos to me at rob@xtralite.com and I'll scale & post 'em for you!

Actually, I like it the way it is there - it's very late-80's 'OEM Believable'.
The LED lights snap you right to present-day, and would (in my humble opinion) appear somewhat misplaced on a mid-to-late-80's car.
I picked up one of those a few months back. How did you do the ends. Did you have to create them from scratch, or did you have something to base it off.
Thanks
Rob

I used the upper part of each end and sculpted the bottom half out of foam. I then glassed over all of it and sanded, sanded, and then......did some more sanding.
