ok, i took the original kit that i received and it didnt fit, but i "modded" it to fit, and sent some good pisc to him, originally i had mailed him the fiero install kit that i had in my fiero so he could get some measurements off of it and such, but with 3 yes THREE failed attemps for no perticular reason i gave up, i had about $30+ invested in wasted shipping charges so i just took the original one and made it fit, so now hopfully he'll make some changes and possiblu send me another one with the appropriate changes made and the new ones will be a direct fit so here are some pisc of it installed, but no lights hooked up, and no deck, i will possibly get it all installed tonight if i can get to the store and get some wire conectors the radio/HVAC bezel was NOT screwed in when these pics were taken, it was just "poped" in

un-lit VS Lit there is 3 bulbs in there and the center one must be too far forward, as it is a bit btighter i will be getting a new deck verry soon, so ill take care of it in a week or so, this "Lit" pic was taken when the car was not running and the battery was run down a bit but when the car is started it gets much brighter, and it is hooked up with all the other dash lights in the car and it is dimable
ive done about as much om my part as i can, i made mine work and i e-mail'd the guy (powder) with all the measurments so its pretty much up to him now to follow up and try and get these produiced, i will still be the test gunnie pig to make sure everything is A-OK before production, i e-mail'd him last night and tonight and havent heard back yet, but i will keep everything updated as best i can i think these will be verry popular and im verry excited to get these kits avalable to everyone

Noticed on his site that he has Firebird and Camaro plates available. The Fiero should be the same mount, after all, they come with the factory cd player that many of us have installed into the Fiero that fit with no problems...
...just a thought...

Is it just the pic, or is the "e" lit up way more than the rest of the letters?
yes, as i said " there is 3 bulbs in there and the center one must be too far forward, as it is a bit btighter i will be getting a new deck verry soon, so ill take care of it in a week or so,"
the bulb must have slipped too far in to the holder

NOT so.... i BELIVE, (dont quote me) it would be a universal kit for those cars which also is the same as the Grand prix's and there kit would be nowhere close to fitting a fiero, here is a pic of a grand prix one
VS the modified fiero one

What is the projected price of this? I'm going to install my headunit tonight so I'll have another kit in there until this fiero kit is availible.
well the other ones he sells are about $40 to $60 depending on lighted, non lighted, black, brushed aluminum, or polished aluminum
the grand prix ones use 9 bulbs whereas the fiero one just says fiero used 3 lights, but if you were to customize it a bit it would take more bulbs and be more expensive
I thought all din and half decks were the same? I have bought a universal mounting din and half, to din adaptor, an it lists most GM's as the same one.
I do really like those. Does the guy have a website set up to buy them from? I want to buy one but not right away..... dont want to forget about these!!!

Doh! I completely missed that.

i was out taking pics of other stuff, and thought i'd get a few more installed shots that show how "Flush " this kit is, pioneer decks stick out ALOT from the outside of a "Normal" install kit, this kit Recesses the deck back anout 5/8" ish so the face is almost flush with the front of the kit, and with this kit you do NOT use the trim ring that goes arround the faceplate of the aftermarket decks, i LOVE it it looks awsome
just thought i'd share

there shoulsnt be any adjusting needed, just bolt it in just like you would the stock deck, or any aftermarket mount kit
only thing is that with the age of our cars the mount points in the plastic in our cars are fragile or alredy broke alot of times so caution should be taken not to over tighten when installing

im really excited to get these avab to you all its not verry often that we have new parts come out for our cars, and i think that this is / will be a great customized thing for us all,

I have been down with the flu and today is my first day back to work. I have had a few requests from some of the larger online stores that want to start carrying the mounting kits so I am working on getting my official GM licensing for the mounting kits. I should have the licensing set up in a few weeks but in the mean time if someone wants a custom mounting kit for the Fiero they can shoot me an email. Sincerely, Mark Penny www.humount.com
so those of you that are seriously intrested should shoot him an e-mail
