Just in case some where wondering. Beck and I, as well as Vince will be there, as well others I am sure. The weather is quite white so if you are coming leave early and take you time. We will see yous soon.
Also after Dinner and chatting we (as in anyone who wants) are heading to Nashville North, here are some directions http://www.nashvillenorth.net/directions.htm So we can continue our time and watch Beck and a whole pile of others work up a glow doing some line dancing
I'll be on my way shortly. Going to have some lunch and fill up the car. I've got a few places to stop by, along the way. Lee Valley tools for one. Ta Ta for now, see everyone there. Al

Gah, this sucks. I'm tempted to leave now and try and make it there, but there's more than a small chance I wouldn't make it. I could barely see my car parked out on the driveway. Ah well, have fun everyone who makes it

Started out but had to stop on the 400. The GTA is pretty bad. The radio says there are accidents on the 401 and traffic is really slow. Can we book a another dinner?

Me and the wife left Brampton at 4:45 and headed towards Kitchner. I barely got to Mavis with a steady 40-50km per hour on the 401. Too many people fish tailing and several cars in the ditch with a couple we witnessed. So we decided to turn back and not risk it. For those of you who made it enjoy and drive safe back home.
I was so looking forward to it. This weather sucks.

Hey Gabe, you did better then I did. I could not even get my car started. It was sitting in the driveway all week while I was in Montreal. I even had the block heater plugged in. My wife has been bugging me to get a new car and now unfortunatley I think she is right.
I hope everyone had a safe trip and a good time. Maybe we could reschedule for a couple of weeks. Vince
It was a great time! We had 15 show up. A great big thank you to Pete and Becky for organizing the event. And thanks to Andy-Saber49 for sponsering the races in the Arcade area. And now for a few pics, if I can. Al

Yep, That's me...Sitting @ the Moose place with an untypical on my face. It was about 2 hours drive from T.O. And driving conditions improved once out of the GTA lake-effect snow.
Thanks (as always) to Pete & Becky(Who is probably still line-dancing to Country music @ Nashville North) and everybody that were brave (or crazy) enough to make the drive out. Thanks to x-thumpr-x for a great ride there and back safely.
Here are two frames from the Winter Dinner...
Hope 2 C U All (and I mean ALL) next time !!!

Had a great time tonight, bring on the weather, I don't mind it at all! In the city the 401 was doing about 50km but once out, it was averaging around 80 and the plows did there job westbound. We say one car in the ditch just west of Mississauga. We were out of the city shortly after 4pm and took our time. Should have come OHNIKO By the time we were back in the city, the stormfront was gone.
Went to the Warden Power Center which will be torn down soon so they don't bother plowing the parking lot and had some fun before going home. Gotta love the 4x4

We had a good time even with so few of us. It would have been twice as good had the weather held up for us. But we managed to fill our evening. Here are a few pics we took as well. Sorry for all those who tried to venture out. It was a patchy storm and some got it worse than others. We will make reservations for us all again soon. Let's plan a date and we'll go from there. Hopefully the weather will behave. Oh and I hope the guys from Bellville and Peterborough got home ok.
There was a nice arcade inside that we enjoyed while we waited for others to show.
Andy showing us his Nascar abilities on the simulator.
And the whole gang that risked the roads for a fun evening of Fiero talk.
Becky

I'm glad it went well. The weather was definately crappy. I flew back from Winnipeg on Wednesday, and found it was colder here than it was there. I'll try and make it out next time.

We have planned another, due to poor weather and alot of us still wanting to get-together. Here is a link to the new thread since I see this old thread was brought back up again.
