Yea, I was all gung-ho to go, but am currently unsure at this point. I do have a friend that wants to go, as the little lady's not going to be able to make it due to our latest addition.
He's all excited about going, as he thinks that the SSEiGT "rocks" and wants a reason to get out of town and drink some beer. As if thats not reason enough.
I'm not out 1oo% as of yet, I will know here in a couple weeks if things are going to be able to allow me to make it out or not.

I think we need someone to lead this or we can all show up and decide once we get there. This is our first time there so I have no idea where or what.
Thoughts?
We made reservations.
Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem for us to take care of things. I just wanted to know if Stimpy still was gonna take the lead, or if we need to step up.

Whoa, sorry I missed this yesterday and kept y'all hanging. I'm feeling great nowadays and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. After reflection, I'd like to propose that instead of the Carmel Valley Road piece that we take the left turn at 198 and head to Coalinga for lunch. There is a Red Robin Gourmet Burgers restaurant which sounds like a lot of fun, and gets good reviews. So, anyways, I like to think of this as just a bunch a friends going for a drive then some structured regimented thing. If someone has some suggestions, let me know.
After lunch we'll head back to SJB the way we came. I've never done it in reverse. I wonder if it will say "Paul is dead".

This is sad... Lol, I wish I didn't like 3,000 miles away, and myself being 17, my parents wouldn't allow me to drive out to Cali for the week I'd need to have out there to make it worth my while ... Oh well, maybe next year?

I might actually be able to make this run, I just have to juggle my day's off for it, But it is a REALLY long drive to get there looks like 7-8 hours. IF I can commit, Look for a silver 88 GT with NEW YORK plates Stimpy, prep a margaritta for me...

Make sure to bring your cameras, due to the extra rain we had over the winter, the wildflowers are busting out this year. This pic was taken a couple of weeks ago, by the end of the month they should be in full bloom.

Fierobsessed, Vegas to San Diego is only about 6 - 6 1/2 hours, and that is if you drive the speed limit. It probably won't take you that long to get to San Juan Bautista.
I really wish I could go to this, but my car is still not road worthy and I'm still trying to find the time to work on it. Rick
I pulled the San Diego -Vegas run in just over 5 once....had to rescue my drunk wife from her friend's wedding! My 87 GT (RIP) pulled it off, no problem. (I did, however, leave SD at around 9PM.....)
PS----I also plan to attend from the SD area! (Just need the damn rack rebuilt first....the one on fhe Fiero, not the wife)

Right on! I love the San Diego folks, they are down for anything. I wonder why folks from LA can't make it? No trophies? *snicker*

Rest assured, my 88GT is no Trophy winner....but it 's in better shape than my dearly departed 87GT. Just need to get a few things taken care of on the little guy and I'm there. I commute to LA from SD at least a few times a month, and it seems like a crime to have my mileage reimbursed for getting to take my Fiero from Pacific Beach to Alhambra and back in a day!! ( ~290 miles) I have no doubt the car will make it, but i have some bushings, brakes, and a sloppy rack to take care of before hitting the mountain roads...

If I ever get my car together, I just might be able to make it - not absolutely sure yet though. Sounds like fun!
If you need parts i can probably help you.

I am going to try real hard to make this one. However, I have a few Fiero hurdles to overcome (alignment, smog, registration/DMV stuff, etc...) So my answer is a definite maybe!
By the way, what time saturday are we supposed to meet and where in SJB are we meeting??

Goal is to leave by 10:30 on Saturday morning. I had planned on congregating at a restaurant on Pacheco Pass Rd, but they refused to give me a biscuit with my breakfast last time I was there (even though they had biscuits) so f*** them. We'll be meeting in the parking lot of the San Juan Inn, which is on the south side of The Alameda (main drag) across 156 from the rest of the town.
