John, have you looked much at the Marque Madness website? I think it's really a good deal for the participants. Maybe next year we can incorporate that into the Rally weekend. This could be a really neat combination of events. http://www.marquemadness.com/ Includes Warm laps on the track on Thursday, 2 Rallys on Friday, a TSD and a Foto Fun rally, BBQ mixer on Saturday night for all participating clubs, racecar transformation from street to competition in one day, Autocross at Marina Airport. I think it's an incredible idea and wish I had known about it earlier for this year.

Actually, this year is at Thunder Hill, northwest of Sacramento. We could do events at Laguna Seca or Infineon (Sears Point), but we'd have to charge $279/day for a midweek (thursday) date. Those tracks are mucho expensive to book.
Is that per person or for a group?

It costs $13,000+ a DAY to rent Sears Point or Laguna Seca. If you can get enough people out there, then the price can drop.
So your saying we need fifty people on the track.Thats going to be a busy track. We need to buy our own piece of worthless property and build our own track.I can put down asphalt at about 2.50 a SQAURE FOOT at cost. All we need is about 50 others with money to want to do it.With a couple million we could have a good start.Only owners can use it so we wont need insurance and such.

For those it concerns, I'll just be there for the Rally itself. Drive in Saturday morning, do the Rally, and leave before dinner. Have to get changed, get food, pick up my date, and get to the symphony by 8. For those going to the track event at Laguna Seca (i.e. Stimpy), I'll meet you either at Will Call in Seaside or at the track.
Is anyone else coming with Stimpy and I to Laguna Seca Sunday? We gotta represent the Fiero in the parade lap!

That's too early for me! I'll be there in spirit and can't think of two better guys to carry our banner! Will look forward to your feedback! Maybe Stimpy will have some more of his great pictures!

Anyone have a spare Getrag clutch slave cylinder and a free day tomorrow? I had my car on the road on Sunday and Monday but the clutch wouldn't disengage Monday on my way back from school. I've replaced the master cylinder (had ugly black fluid in it), clutch line flex hoses, and the slave was purchased last weekend. I've narrowed it down to a failed slave due to side loading of the piston from my bracket misaligning the slave. I fixed the bracket but the slave still suck sin air. I can probably exchange it for a new one but they wont have it in stock tomorrow... If I can't get my clutch working again tomorrow I'll probably show up with my girlfriend and her car, but of course I'd prefer to take the Fiero.. I've spent a premium on parts just to get it ready in time for the rally.

Looks like I'll be travelling alone this weekend; wife is out of town and friends all have other plans. Oh well - at least this way I won't have any squealing noises coming from the passenger side on the corners. Hey, that reminds me - I need to bend that dust shield a little farther away from the rotor on that side...
I've been debating with myself on which car to bring - the beauty or the beast. I think it's going to have to be the beast; not real pretty yet, but it runs good and needs to get some miles put on the new parts. I'll load it up and head down on Saturday morning.

Aww, bummer! Well, you better make it to the club meeting next month!
Ya, i feel bad man. I haven't gone to a meeting in awhile. My stupid tranny tcc went out, i haven't had it on insurance, and i'm trying to save for college (summer and next year). As well as i'm taking like 14 units right now, and working 20 hours a week. .. just to busy, hopefully by the summer it'll be up and out of the garage again. = /
Well I will probably fly down early Sat Morning. Does anyone who is attending happen to have some Fastback Quarter Windows? I really hate having this passenger side one missing. I am able to buy some if somebody has them. (drivers side is cracked so I would buy both sides).
oh and by fly down......I mean driving my fiero kinda fast hehehehehe.

I'll be there sometime tomorrow evening. Besides, I'm NOT doing the 7+ hrs of driving on Saturday like last year. I wanna sleep in on Saturday.
I just spent a couple [read... 4] hours doing accounting work for my mom. she hates it, and I don't really mind it if I have music. This in turn for getting to go tomorrow instead of sat.
just gotta clean out the car tomorrow, and wipe her down. stupid rain has her all filthy, and there's dried mud on the carpet covers. *eew!*
I always use my radar detector, I also am very observant of everything around me so I tend to do rather well with no getting stopped. Also I think if your not swerving around from lane to lane you can get away with more speed. When I took my notchie to Castro Valley today I was doing about 80 on the 92 Bridge ( I think the speed limit was 60 or less maybe. I had 2 motorcycle cops behind me, I simply moved from the fast lane (without changing speed) and they zipped past me.....could care less that I was doing 80 and with 2003 registration sticker lol

Pizza for dinner is OK with me. It'll be like a GGF meeting. Look out for CHP in airplanes. I got a ticket in that area once. Got timed from above. Sunroofs with 50 Cal. machine guns mounted would help.
