You are right, the Chop t-top has a full length roof, it's the windshield that got shorter. So there is a better chance of what you say to work. An Archie chop top has a 9 degree increase in the rake of the A pillar and a roof that is about 2 inches shorter and lower. It is very unlikely the stock glass could be made to fit.

don't give up so easily. a little fabrication is less than having windows made. then you could have the first chop t-top and glass side windows.

After all this, wouldn't it be funny if the side door glass from a Corvette or some other popular car was the perfect shape with only minor changes to the track & regulator.

i just skimmed the thread so i might have missed it, but has anyone tried that thing they did on the "overhauled" show? where they etched some side windows and set them on fire to melt the middle (plexiglass?) and reshape them?

I don't understand how this could have worked since side glass doesn't have a plastic middle section. Only windshields have that, side glass is tempered such that it will break into a million little pieces. If you try to cut tempered glass it would shatter into a million pieces unless you some how untemper it, cut it, then re-temper it. Not an easy thing to do.
