I did nothing this weekend on my car. I did get my Injector covers friday. I just set them on there. I have the intake on backwards because it looks cool.
Oh but its a hardship award, the 88 SE throw a rod on the way up there any after just getting the car 3 weeks before. The good news is the SBC project is now going to be pushed ahead.
Well, my order says shipped. I ordered over $500 worth of goodies. If it all makes it by friday, saturday I'll be getting the exhaust done. I get friday off too, to work on the car. Look for updates early next week. Shouldn't be long after that.

Got a few updates. I cut out the Engine strut mount on the strut tower. This will be cleaned up, smoothed out, and painted the body color, along with the rest of the engine bay.
Two engine shots, I'm waiting on fuel rails, distributer, and a few other things.

Trying a new sig that Ken86GT made for me. Thanks. It can be seen in the yellow link in my sig file too.
Friday and saturday, I should get some more done. I'll be painting misc. engine/trans brackets yellow. I'll also be installing the poly bushings and assembling the suspension.
I just picked up one of these. Lets hope it does what I want. No other updates, I've just been too busy to spend any time in the garage.

Does anybody know if this was used on a small block Chevy motor and if a coil pack from a Northstar would work, I see that they sell for alot cheaper then the LT1 or LS1 coils?

I emailed F.A.S.T about that. Just in case, I have about 5 of those bookmarked on ebay right now. Lots cheaper than LS1 coils. Although the LS1 coil near plug is the best way to go.

This will be my last update for a while, not that I'm overwhelming you with weekly updates. But I'm going a 5 speed swap for someone. I expect that to go just into Feb. Then Full throttle again on the v8 project.
I was painting the trans for the 5 speed swap, so I thought I'd repaint mine. I used rattle can before, and it already lost its shine. This time I used enamel with a hardener. It has a nice wet look. The upper radiator support is dry in that pic. I painted these with the same paint I used on the Valve covers and suspension links. They still shine like they did when I painted them. I was really disappointed in the paint I used on the trans. What can you expect for $5.
For those who dont read, and just look at the pictures.
I just realized, I never posted pics of the engine installed with the HSR. Its all back out now. I'm painting the car, and then I'll figure out how to do the HSR with 8 coils.
