I don't know much about anything but that dyno chart looks skewed by 300RPM to make the results look better. I have no idea what the product is but the fact that both curves have the same characteristic points makes me suspicious... they just start in different places.
I think you meant 300 hp but what it represent is the original product and it's competitor starting off and at the 300 mark the original product starts to make more hp as the rpm range increases likewise the torque curve in otherwords what it is showing is the superiority in design.Being skeptical about the dyno chart is ok until you can proove them wrong and since you don't have a clue about the dyno chart as you mentioned if GM told you that their engine puts out 300 hp do you still doubt them ,what about these jap import that is running the street with 800 plus hp and running the 1/4 mile in 9 sec do you still doubt them ?

Curly I could not find the 4 piston calipers brackets or the rear brackets I have every thing for a C5 conversion except the brackets so if I do come across a set then maybe I will change over .

The drama continues : here is the gas tank sump where it feeds a Holley pump the other bung is for a Walbro inline pump to feed the injectors .
I decided to use the 12" Corvette brakes instead of the 13" HD
Test fitting the hub and adapter.
Adapter mounted
These are the steel adapters that my machine shop fabbed up for me I also have 6 sets as spares but I will have to talk to Bubbajoe since it was his design and if it is ok with him then I might sell them.....later
Send me price and info on those brackets via pm please

Curly been kinda busy lately but the body work is finished also the trans am scoops are also filled in to be more flush also got the gas door just right and doing the box in exhaust like the 360 Modena.
I am trying to locate wheels for the back as I have 14" from the coilover to play with so I am lookin at 315-325-30-19 for the rear also this is the look I am going for and the Roas Red paint.

315-345's. Yeah, now thats the ticket! How deep of a rim? So you are not using the 5-star chrome wheels on our previous post? With a 315 I know you'll need at least 11.5 " This is going to be a very mean rear end once you get finished. When will you think you'll be ready for the next show?

No they are 8.5" in the rear so most likely will put them on ebay also I am not on a schedule since Daytona is gone but still got to put the new motor in and replace the stock headliner with a fiberglass headliner but will keep you posted.

Well today since I had nothing major to do I decided to take care of a few odds and ends and redo so previous things I didn't like changing my head unit from a Jensen to a Pioneer 1.5 din instead of a double din Jensen that I would have to modifying the dash which I did not want to do.
One of the things I disliked about the Fiero was the mirrors and wanted to change them so I used a late model Firebird set but had to make the mounts but they were kinda flimsy so I got the original mount and modified it and it looks better and fit better I even replaced the mirror as the other had no glass in it .
My stereo system is now complete as I replaced the 4x10 were replaced with 6.5 Boston Acoustics 2 way and the bass amplifier was replaced by a bridgeable JBL (painted black) one to compensate for the 8 " single voice coil Pioneer woofer.
This 3 section pod I made from using a Ford F150 pod and mated it with the Fiero a -pillar and they are for : Engine Oil temperature Fuel pressure Nitrous pressure. if you look closely you will notice the black switch below the trunk switch well that is the new starter button .
Instead of using the stock Deville manifold I am having made at this time unequal length shorty headers with collectors for easy bolt up so hopefully the next pics will be the headers on the engine and ready to put the motor in .

I hope you bolted those fenders on as the is nothing that I know of that will hold poly fenders to smc as the poly is flexable and the smc is not one hard bump and it peals right off and dont put bondo on top as it will crack like crazy Jeffs smooth body is already cracking everywhere from the lack of flex between the 2 differant materials and it was done with renforcments place in the epoxy putty and also in the bondo

Bubba what I did was to screw the extension fender with small dry with screws and two part SMC epoxy like they use on the vettes and Saturn then glassed it over then filled it in with light weight bondo then used expanding foam to fill the gap between the two fenders.

if you remove all chances of flex you should be ok just make sure no one bumps it with any force the glass will let go should have bought glass fenders to bond on then it would never let go

Today I started to make final preparation to install the 5.1 litre motor but waiting on a few parts from the machine shop like the replacement roller rockers and brackets for the idler pulley and the headers, some of the new innovations that was incorporated in this motor is an adjustable cam sprocket that allows me to degree the camshaft properly also the heads were completely remachined and ported with newer valves and matching springs for the cam.The headers I was hoping to at least make a few available for sale but because of the cost to produce them I had to scrap that idea $400...ouch so I will only make a set.The intake was also machined to accept a 750 cfm 4 barrel Holley carb also the injectors will be functional along with the carb...kinda different but I have tried this motor and it works great so here are a few shots close up of the motor .
This motor will also be bottlefed with direct injection nitrous oxide to surprise all the doubters who want to walk over it .

Today I am in a very angry mood so I will post some pics of the body work that is still a work in progress and on going.
after doing the fender extension now I have to look for some wide wheels for the rear btw that is red primer also I will be using these seats instead of the gray and black that seems hard to come by.

...angry mood? Is it because of the weather?

I remember a really funny posting on a different list about the quest for larger and larger brakes and someone finally considered adapting the 20 inch brakes off a yellow school bus.. wish I'd saved that, it was hilarious.

You made my day truthfully I had a big laugh that was funny about the school bus any how I also have a pair of 13"HD brakes that I could use but I find them a little too heavy especially for the small bearings in the fiero hub and I would have to change to a different size where I would consider it safe to mount them,Madcurl has them on his car but I have no idea of his set up...lot of new parts coming in today by Fedex and UPS and the post office for the car and this is begin to get boring $$$$$ and still not finished but too late to turn back now . PS : Exoticse yes I will fill in the ridge line on the fenders over the week end like Madcurl's own

I really like the look of the mustang style scoop with the lip spolier. I want to do the same thing, but was curious how it'd look. I guess you just answered that question for me. Any full on rear shots?
Not a slam but you doing all this body work outside and letting the car get wet is VERY risky. You are asking for trouble. Also when you are working the body down to bare plastic I hope you put on a good plastic primer. If not...expect to see blisters and bubbles in your final paint job. The fillers will actually absorb the water. It may appear dry but after you paint it and let it sit out in the sun the water heats up and expands and boom! blisters!

Thanks for your concern and your comments are well taken the car is covered now since it is the rainy season down here,it has been worked on since the last year for the same purpose of watching it for stress cracks etc the final body work is going to be done by a reputable shop not a Maaco type deal for $600 andsince I have spent all this money to create a one of a kind car I can't cheap it out now might be long but it will be finished biggest problem no is to find rims 315-35 -19 with a 5x100 bolt pattern or some thing compatible .

hey there, sounds like what im thinking. a glass shop quoted me way too much for my taste to get some stuff done, they recommended i do it myself, and any imperfections can be proffesionaly taken care off at thier shop or a body shop. Theres always a possibility that some small cracks will show up later, but it wont be painted until its been through a couple winters to make sure.
anyways, i done know why i never looked in this thread before... but nice to see your work. lookin good! bookmarked...

Well the hurricane season is up on us again but that has not dampened the on going work on the car , the wide body install mod is now finished completely I had to make some correction where the attatchment was made as I wanted it to look integrated as opposed to add on so here it is with out primer
some more parts came in this week that will keep me busy for awhile making up the flanges and pipes for these...twin turbos.
and this inline hi pressure pump
and this
I was leaning towards painting the car rosa red but I had a close look at a yellow Corvette and started to fall in love with it the only problem is my interior is black and gray and I have access to yellow and black leather seats like wise red and black and would have to change the color if the interior pieces and carpet ....well I will ponder over that for now as the rain is falling.
Here is the gooseneck equalizer to complete my stereo system it sounds great also notice my window (black garbage bag ) thatis like that because I have not installed the door openers and poppers and if I wind it up I will be locked out.

The saga continues as I make more changes to the car overall and now that I have some more time to do some real work and make little changes ,I am flip floping about my final color for the car and was thinking of going this way which is a one only color that is used on the Lamborghini Murcielago but other than very expensive the paint code formula is not readily available but my paint distributor can match it I will add a little blue pearl to give it that flip flop effect.
Finally got these seats as these are the closest to the car color that I could find and they are cloth with leather bolsters To match the outside I have changed the interior to all black and will change the headliner and carpet and any thing that is gray related,I am building a new center console and sub enclosure to accept a new 10" Kicker solabaric sub and the addition of twin turbo to my 5.1 to compliment the nitrous system
more to come

Well, I will keep it out of this thread. But, you should have mentioned it, because alot of us that you left in the dark were calling BS because we knew you couldn't get the numbers you were claiming. Are you planning on blowing into the carb?

No I am not saying you are not invited in any thread as long as we can keep it with out fussing and fighting yes I am going through the carb and it has been modded for this application and this is the BOV that I just got .
In order to get this to work the lower part of the trunk has got to be removed to accomodate the turbos and plumbing which is the hardest part ,the nitrous bottle will have to be relocated up front .
