Well I started talking to a custom machine shop and will start making the 3800 mounts and 12" corvette brake upgrade. Prices are not known yet. I want to know how many people need 3800 mounts? I'm going to make the brake upgrade in stainless or aluminum. I was also thinking of the 3800 mounts in stainless, but depending on price. If there is something else someone wants made let me know. If I can make brackets the corvette 13" kit may also be made. Give me your input.

I would be interested in both! What year(s) are you going to make the brake upgrade for? 84-87 or 88. What kind of ETA are you looking at?

Hopefully the mounts will include mounts for the isuzu, and get rid of those cheasy brackets that bolt to the trans. I like what Bill Levin has made but his mounts don't work for what I need, 88 cradle - isuzu trans... I already bought my brake brackets tho...

Lowfierogt, the reason I ask about the year is, for a brake upgrade, I was under the impression that the 84-87 and the 88 were two different animals. You can't do one that will fit both. The forum has a topic on someone who has done the corvette upgrade for the 88 but not for the 84-87. I also have a link to a wbsite that has done a 84-87 upgrade but was I wanting more interaction and maybe a group buy. As for the motor mounts I have no idea if they are interchangable either. What kind of ETA you got for the brake kit(84-87)?

Making the brakes for 84-87 only. I don't have bigger wheels on my 88's so not going to make bigger brakes for them. The 3800 brackets will fit all years. I think a group buy would be great. This process may take a month or two to get all the differnt stuff for the brake upgrade.

The owner of the machine shop was out last week, I was talking to his son. Will have Prices when they get back to me. I'm also making fuel rails for the 3800. I also have in process of designing a airbag setup for 84-88.

New Idea

You can call the machine shop and make your own at the cost per auto kit is 170 without poly bushings or bolts. I have a set there they will copy. You can ask them to make what parts you need. I'm making nothing out of this and will pass on the savings from any other kit out there.

PM me or e-mail for details.

I need mounts for my L67/5speed swap too.....but getting a good set looks like playing the lottery, most vendors just dont seem to be able to maintain quality and service...I'll be paying twice the price anyway because of shipping and taxes overhere. So I am seriously thinking about getting a poly set from Rodney and start from there and have any adapters made locally....

I am willing to pay for a GOOD set of swap mounts but I havent found it yet.
