OK, time to start talking about the Westfest show. This is the biggest event of the year in the Southwest, with 30-50 Fieros and 60-80 fellow Fiero nuts anticipated to attend.

I will update this and following posts with information, but here are the basics for now:

June 24-26, Truckee, California.

Truckee is 35 miles west of Reno, on Interstate 80, and only 12 miles north of the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The show and events will take place at our official hotel, the Best Western Truckee Tahoe Inn.

Weekend Schedule
Friday
11am - Conference Room open for welcome and registration until 6pm.
7pm - Welcome reception and Tech Session/Q&A with Fiero repair experts in Conference Room. Conference Roomremains open all evening for drinks and snacks.

Saturday
8am - Show and shine. Show field opens. Last minute registration. Gentlemen, start your waxing!
11am - Judging starts. Stop detailing!
12pm - Lunch available for purchase in hotel food court.
3pm - Show ends. Go get some rest.
6pm - All you can eat Pizza party in the ConferenceRoom.
8pm - Awards presentation in the Conference Room. Conference room open after awards for hanging out with your fellow Fiero buddies.

Sunday
11am - Drive to North Lake Tahoe

Hotel Information UPDATE: deadline extended to June 8
Please call the hotel and make your reservations ASAP. The room block reservation is up on June 8. Make your reservation by then, the hotel is otherwise SOLD OUT for the weekend. Rooms are $109 King bed, $119 two queen beds. Reserve under "Fiero Westfest"

Hotel web site or call 800-824-6385

Car show registration is $35, includes one t-shirt and one dash plaque. Registration forms will be sent in the mail soon, and you can also register when you arrive.

Weekend food is $20, includes the Friday night reception, Saturday night pizza party, drinks and snacks. If you've been to our shows, you'll know that we feed you well. We will have soda, water, beer and wine available, and are included.
Lunch will be available for purchase in the hotel restaurant on Saturday from 12 noon until 2pm. Breakfasts are included with the cost of the room, and are served in the hotel restaurant.

Shouldn't that be June 24?

Very cool, I can't wait. WestFest was a lot of run last year, so I got a good feeling about this one.

This year's show was never in July. The date changes based on the availability of the local venue and local events.

don't think that I'll be able to make it this year. I'm pretty sure I'll be in Hawai'i... soaking up the sun on Oahu for two weeks. I have some friends there, and I'll be staying with my uncle. anyways, y'all gotta tell me what goes down.

Yeah - this event is about seeing lots of shiny Fieros, meeting other Fiero fans, and having a good time. It's not about pushing other's teeth down their throats.

Mary and I have talked about doing that, but I figure that I flew into Tahoe, and had a better view! The lake looks awesome when you're flying over it.

Yes. That is Chris Sideris' car. I PM'ed you his info.

Don't worry about "hijacking" the thread. Anything you post keeps the topic bumped and visible. Talk about anything. Talk about your Aunt Bertha, the stock market, the weather in Tibet...

This will be my first Fiero event and I am really looking forward to meeting you all and seeing your cars.

I am going to leave my aunt Bertha at home, and I hope you guys understand. She gets flatulent at altitude.

You could show up and not catch a lot of fuzz about your car. The people would probably even help you with it if you ask. I'm pretty new around here, but I haven't seen any nicer people when it comes to working on cars.

You don't have to enter your car in competition. Just show up and have fun. But, please pay us for the food!

Dale is in charge of the website. Unfortunately, he's kinda been out of sight lately. I need him to do the website updates.

I'm on vacation this week, but I'll try to get the info posted here ASAP.

When I was down at WCF in late March, Chris said they might cruise up for WestFest, but he wasn't sure yet. His car definately won't be ready, but they were going to try to make it anyway. The rest I don't know about.

Didn't spddy lose hs password?
