What is up for everyone on the Marg machine!? Here's the thoughts...
Last time, the marg machine did 100000 times better than we all thought it would! How would everyone feel if the marg machine comes out there, and there is a $5.00 for margs, and ** as long as you keep your cup ** that gets you margs throughout the evening. The next day, would be another $5.00 and so on. This will help us accomidate the cost of the marg machine. I know at West Fest last year, I believe Sparza's club assisted on the machine, but the rent on the French Maid is a lot more this time, seeing how it's the summer time near Arizona, I had to pull some strings, and go to every single Tower Records in southern california to find "It's Rainning Men" song, in order for her to agree to join us!
I think that would be fair for everyone.. what is everyone elses opinions...
As it turns out, it may be the Grey Ghost, the trailer, the BBQ, and the Marg Machine!
so fordsneverdie... i think the marg machine is a great idea. Did you get it deisel powered this time? LOL As long as you bring this hot piece... we will all be fine... (was she spanish or french?)
:edit: BTW i will be coming down this year. the car isnt finished but i will be in the work in progress section. Hopefully you guys will like the mods i have been working on (with the little time i have...) It is going to be a scramble to get the car pieced together.

DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is messed up! I looked EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL, except for the tan! I missed my fake and bake appointment the weekend before, and that's what I got!
Okay.. The only picture I can't find, which I believe is on my Yahoo! Profile, and I will have to track down, is the one showing how much of a damn good job you did holding my truck up, so it either wouldn't tip over, or roll forward into the back of the BBQ! You did an AWESOME job! I guess this time, you will be cut off by the end of the 1st cup!

I will track it down! I had to redo my computer and I lost about 500 pix, but I always have backups on different servers! As soon as I find it, I'll post it!
John... Do we have a "Trailer Queen" class going yet!? Seeing that we have a least 2 Fieros being trailered! :)
Also, you think THAT picture is bad, wait until this year! I tried on my speedo suit, and it fit just right.. So I think I will be borrowing a thong from the woman, and using that this year! :)

Seriously, though... How about some input on the thoughts for the marg machine this year!?

We had thought about it, but haven't had enough trailer queens to make it worthwhile. Besides, just towning your car isn't the entire reason for the catagory. It's also for lower mileage cars.

I'm all for it, but we have to make people pay for it, somehow. We promised free margaritas in San Simeon, and it had a big impact on the show's profit/loss. I was thinking something like $1 a cup. That seems reasonable.

Hey --- you know me... Anyone that has a Fiero that needs a hand, and that lives within like 30,000 miles of me, I'm there !

Well, I was thinking like $2 or $3, but the $5 came from people that I have inquired about, before I even mentioned a price, they were like "Well, $5 with refills sounds tempting!" So that's where the $5 came from... Plus, you have to figure that it's around $100-$200 for the first batch, which is 20 gallons of margs. After that, we are on our own, so I think the $5 a cup with refills, per night, will be worth it, but it's your gig, John, so whatever you and the people decide... That's why I was asking for input!

------------------ "Real American Heroes - Today we solute you, Mr. Ford Truck Towing A Fiero Guy. When most people don't even know what a Fiero is, let alone just where the motor is, you seem to somehow fit right in. You see the looks people give to that car with the PIAA light conversion, the 2" drop springs, big scoops on the hood, and the 19" tires that are bigger than the car itself, and get a kick out of their reactions. You get all warm and gooshy inside by knowing you help out children in need by putting smiles on their faces, whenever you drive by with that car on the trailer all lit up with neon. A car that isn't made anymore, is kept alive by being the prize posession of most of their owners who spend 5 times more than what they paid for them to gain a few more horsepower, and loose a couple seconds off their 1/4 mile, and spend many of nights sleeping "in the dog house" because of it. You help them save their paychecks on tow bills by being the "Fieros West & WCF Support Vehicle". So crack open a drink, Fiero Tower Guy, and know that the Fiero community appreciates your participation & support. If it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be able to show Corvettes and Porches just how Mean the "M" in 2M6 can get!

It needs to be "police-able". Either special cups that we know have been paid for or something. Wristbands? I don't know.
I'm in Truckee this weekend, drinking margaritas at my sister-in-law's place (7000 ft), so I'm not feeling any pain!
#4 just came home. I wonder if I can sell my daily driver and have a 3.4 put into #4 in time for this event? hmmmmm
if any one who is really good at putting this engine in wants to do this for me let me know, or if anyone knows shops in the Northern California area that can do it and won't rape my wallet....please tell me.
I dont think polise-able is an issue. And a few bucks for aall the margaritas you can drink is a very easy thing toi swallow so to speak.
I dont even drink but I love making fun of all the rest of you so I think if we all chipped in as a regular expense it would work out fine instead of twenty bucks for the buy in make it 23 and were set.

Have Brian come up with something, preferably last minute. He loves to take **** like that over.
He is an instructor at HPDE track events. I was concerned about people's safety, given that we anticipated driving fast on the Rally Through the Valley, and he agreed. I asked him to give a safety talk, given our concerns, especially after what happened to that guy on the Coast Run. I will take at least partial blame for his apparent "taking over".

Easy, slugger. Its a drive down a fun road with a bunch of Fiero guys, not the Superbowl. Their intentions were good, if not poorly executed. No need to get completely bent out of shape. Just a little bent out of shape will do fine.

Who knows... I don't want to get **** riled up here... Stimpy.. Would you rather not have the Marg Machine? Or is the Marg machine nothing to do with whatever you and John are talking about?

i was talking about the point system that the judges use. I remember that last year they had a -10 or -5 for no extinguisher... just wondering what they judge on as this will be my first judged car show. thanx.

I had no idea they did that. It doesn't make sense to me. You can ask us at the show if there is something that would be a points-negative.

The Rally Through the Valley wasn't a Golden Gates Fieros event and it's clear that some are upset about the appearance of Golden Gates Fieros people taking over the event from its organizer. It's too late now to change what happened, but it's not too late to offer some sincere apologies to the people who were wronged - and to acknowledge the hard work done by those who actually did the work to organize this event.
Is this OT?? because it is really reminding me of that! No class.
................................... I think were gonna end up there on thursday afternoon.Anyone else going to be there early maybe we could go out and kik it somewhere together??
