Well, for those of you that are night birds, me and the woman, along with Chris "Mr. Chrome" Sideris will be leaving around midnight (yes, 12:00 in the morning) on Friday! The woman has some friends that are flying into LAX around 11:00pm, so we will be loading the trailer at Chris' at that time, then heading out from our house in Torrance around midnightish. Anyone else game for leaving at that time?

That should put us into Truckee just around the beginning of breakfast time!

Anyone else wanna leave here late Thursday evening from the L.A. area? Or anyone coming from out of state up the 5 Frwy plan on passing through with an estimated 1:00AM arrival around the L.A. area? The woman has some friends coming in from out of state, so she's going to pick them up from LAX around 11:00PM, and I'll be loading the Fiero on the trailer, so we're planning on leaving the L.A. area around 12:00 AM (yes, midnight), so that will put us right at the 405 & 5 interchange around 1:00 AM. Anyone interested in meeting up!? Or is no one else that crazy to leave at that time!? Gotta keep the marg maching cold, ya know! Oh yeah - Margs on the way for whoever follows!

I could do the 395 thing. I will be picking up my niece and nephews down the street from the Palmdale Raceway, so I was just going to have her bring the kids to me at the 405 & 5 interchange. I can hang with the 395 to the 99. Depends on if we can get a bunch of people going at that time, too! It would be kewl to have a late nite Fiero escapade invade the city! If I was gunna do that, and come up the 395, I wouldn't be in that area until around say 3:00AM, after I pick up the kids and everything!

Actually, let me rephrase that! You talking about the 395 all the way into Carson City, then coming back? Sorry dude... Pulling a trailer that would be WAY TOO long! Now if you wanted to hop off the 395 over to the 58, then the 99 in bakersfield, we can do that, too! That would be faster, but it's upto you guys! I take it you wanna do the scenic route...

Well were going to take the 395 all the way to South Lake Tahoe. Thats where were staying the night. Then in the morning were leaving at 7am to go to truckee. I still dont know if my car is gonna be finished in time for the show though. The buildup thread is in here. Its called "87 Fiero GT goes to paintshop" So me and my dad will be going in my car if its finished in time and if its not finished then we will be going in my dads red formula.

Well, why stay in a hotel in South Lake Tahoe? you don't have that much further to drive. And if we get more people driving in a "caravan", then all you have to do is pick up the two way radio that I will have, and say hey - lets pull over and get some air type thing, then there ya go! Doesn't matter. I think that 99 will be WAY faster than 395, and that way you won't have to take a hotel room!

The magarita machine has been confirmed. We will be supplied by THREE TIMES the mix we had at San Simeon. We'll have to charge for each margarita (I think it will be a buck), 'cause it cost us a fortune last year! You guys drink a lot!

There's something wrong with PFF.

The Bear -- who has confirmed the margarita machine and arranged for THREE TIMES the mix -- has what appears to be nearly an even number of positive and negative PFF ratings. Where's the margarita love?

I guess I'm controversial. If this keeps up, I'll have to find a new car to fall in love with. I hear Corvettes are pretty nice...

Okay i have changed my time that me and my dad are going to leave for truckee. We will be departing Ridgecrest at 9-10 am. We are traveling up the the 395 until we get to South Lake tahoe and then we will cut across and arrive in truckee at 2-3 pm. Anybody that would love a really beautiful drive can cruise with us up there. I personally love the 395 because its the select scenic route to truckee. Its much better than going up the 5 or the 99.

Well we're still going..........I was hoping to have the engine swap on my yellow GT done in time, but it's not going to happen. Apparently the mechanics need to sleep, they don't work swing shifts, and apparently I am not the only one who needs work done on a car hahahahaha.

270 miles and some people say "to far"? hmmmm thats 3 hours flat in a fiero right?

Our price was $109 ($119 with two beds), so I don't see what the difference is.

The bears are here in Truckee!

The weather is here, wish you were beautiful!

Seriously, the weather is really nice. Not too hot, not too cold. See you all here. If you have any questions, I'll be checking email and PFF periodically. By the way, the hotel has free WiFi all over the hotel. So bring your laptops!

Okay, yeah, I have the $109 room w/1 king bed. The AAA travel book says $89-139 for 2 people from 6/13-12/19 which are the higher rates for the year with the exception of Christmas and New Year's weeks. The online sites I check (Travelocity, Orbitz, and Expedia) listed $129-139 so I didn't ask about AAA or AARP before mentioning the Fiero Club when I called. Sounds like the difference is a couple of margaritas and I'm not sure how many I can take, especially served up by you in your cute little outfit, anyway!!

Glad to hear you Bears made it up there okay and that it's nice! See ya soon!
