I wanted to pass on some new information about the Great Lakes Fiero Festival hosted by the Michigan Fiero Club on July 29 - 31, 2005 in Birch Run, MI.

We are excited to announce that Paced84, RareW66 and myself are going to be bringing in the
1.8L Turbo Prototype Indy Pace Car for our show. This is the Pace car prototype that has been in storage since 1984 at the Indy Museum and has never been shown to the public. We also will have in attendance at the show a 1984 ASC Prototype and the Yellow PPG (Autostyle) Prototype.

We are also pleased to have commitments form 3 well know Fiero people to speak at our banquet. Although schedules can change, we have been given commitments from all 3.

Our Bonfire will not be taking place as the city turned us down for a burn permit, but we will not let this put a damper on our fun. I have included our schedule of events below.

Great Lakes Fiero Festival Event Schedule

Friday July 29, 2005
Check in at Hotel: 2 – 5 PM & 6 – 10 PM
Self Serve Car Wash: 2 – 10 PM
Go-Karts, Bumper Boats & Mini Golf 6:00 PM

Saturday July 30, 2005
Show Registration: 7:30 – 10:00 AM
Self Service Car Wash: 7:30 – 3:00 PM
Fiero Show: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hot Wheels Drag Racing: 1:00 – 3:00 PM
R/C Autocross: event has been shelved
Bug Run: 5:00 PM

Sunday July 31, 2005
Banquet: 8:00 – 11:00 AM
Breakfast Buffet
3 Guest Speakers
Awards Presentation

Hope to meet a lot of you there!

Don't forget that I will be there with my PPG Pace Car. That makes three prototypes at the Michigan Show this year.

Awesome news Fred!

I had heard you might bring up the yellow PPG. Having it there will only enhance the show.

Hi Mark,
Yes, Bob and I are going to be at Fieros in Auburn. There may be a few others with us as well. There will probably be 6 or more from the GTA coming to your show in Michigan. Looking forward to seeing you again....Lothar

Booked our room for MI. Tanya and myself will be there, good chance Rick and Tal will be coming also. Won't be going to Aubrun this year, just Carlisle and MI.

Just another update.

Go Karts are on. We will actually be at a facility that has Go-Karts, Bumper Boats and Mini-Golf, so there should be a little something for everyone!

We have members working diligently on a couple of other surprises. Come to the show to see them!

Just as a teaser, here is a photo of each of the 3 prototypes that will be at the show.

1984 Indy Pace Car 1.8L Turbo Protoype (never before shown to the public)

1984 ASC Prototype (owned by prowlerfan)

Yellow PPG (Autostyle) Prototype (ownned by RareW66)

It's 99% that we will be there...the only show that doesn't conflict with someone getting married or Matt having to work!

Try it now Jen, it should be fixed (either that or I'm completely off my rocker)

Flyer is here. The link from the main page should take you there now too, instead of directly to the image.

Nick

Prowlerfan has my seals and tail light screw caps on that car. I gave them to Mike S { previous owner} when he was at Norwalk. I didnt put the front hood seal on as we needed a wrench to take the hinge off so I hope it is on now?????? That car has orignal 84 molding but was filled in to look like the 88 style used later on. I thought that was neat. Rick B
