Haven't read a 'Hottie Diary' in a while now. Did she give up and push the Coupe into Lake Ponchartrain?

Well, from what I can recall, there was a thread someone started about "What kind of threads do you not like" or some such. Someone said they didn't like the "Diary" threads, someone else called her an "attention *****" (Definatly not ME!! I really enjoyed the Diaries and miss them a lot!! )

Well the thread got ugly and I haven't seen a post by her since. Real shame to, It's not often you see someone (Female OR Male) with her level of enthusium (sp) and if she doesn't come back it will be a great loss to the whole Forum.

We miss you Tress!!!!!

I never ever understand why people read threads they hate reading ??

And don't tell me they just read it once !

Just seems funny the ones who claim to hate them the most are the ones most reading them.

Come back Tress !

If Tess is reading this; we have all soughts of folks on this forum from all over the world. Most are great people but on any forum you get some posts by the angry malcontents and the flamers Most Fieros owners (as yourself ) are very passionate about their hobby and this can lead to some heated discussions at times. Our capable moderator and forum owner Cliff has done a good job of weeding out the garbage but on the other hand you need to have a "thick skin" to survive some of the things that occasionaly go on here. Read the posts and it should be clear that most of the folks here are good and decent people. This doesn't mean that they have to agree with you 100% of the time though. If I stopped talking to all the people that disagreed with me, I would have no firends left. The wifey would be gone too- LOL!!!! It all comes down to not what you say but how you say it. Hopefully we can all be civilized enough to disagree at times and still get along.

Seriously though, I hope she comes back as well. It's true that we don't see that level of enthusiasm on here very much any more. When we do see it, it usually gets crushed pretty quickly if they don't have a very thick skin by those few but very vocal members who haven't yet gotten booted off who have nothing better to do lately than constantly spit in someone elses threads.

Shocking revelation:

Stimpy=Triton=Mistress!

Notice, you've never seen all of them in the same room, EVER?

Heck, if we didn't have people makin' threads, then this place would be like molasses...I never mind "Headlight help" threads in Tech, threads in GFC that have pics of Fieros in them, or most wacky crap that gets plopped into the OT area. Mistressesses's "diary " threads were fun, because she posted a lot of pics, and seemed excitied about what she was doing.

Heh, part of being a Faiero fan is gettin' used to being insulted. (All that "firetrap, plastic car"stuff) Most of the "flaming" on here is tongue-in-cheek, I think.

Except when the soda comes into play. then, it's DEATHLY SERIOUS.

If not for at least a bit of personality, this place would just be another boring car forum.

Come back, Mistresesesess, and show us how you drain your oil.

I wonder if she ever figured out why her brakes were dragging when she tightened the calipers. Her writtings and pictures were very good for all the noobs and anyone who isn't mechanically inclined. Also, if we spotted anything she did wrong, we were able to give her some ideas on how to make things right. She should have just ignored the flammers and keep doing what she was doing. It was a great service to the Fiero community and it will be missed.

I know its possible for people to ignore it, but it's better to DO something about it. Rumor has it she hasn't "left" the forum, she's just currently in "training". She was last seen jumping across rooftops, a yellow streak in the moonlight...

She'll be back...

Miss Tress was really upset by some of the things people said about her writing too much or seeking attention. I think her husband was even more upset by some of the comments that were made.

However, I know she is still working on her car and she is still searching the archives for information. I don't know when she will post again however. It's a shame because we rarely see anyone with her level of enthusiasm not to mention her writing skills and other abilities.

I think the overwhelming majority of people on PFF are nice and helpful. And even if they disagree they are tackful and don't get personal. However there are a few people that are crude and and make rude and harsh comments. I think if you ignore those people then PFF is a very nice place to hang out.

Please post again Miss Tress, we miss you

I never like to see someone leave because they're being ragged on for what they want to do. She certainly hasn't done anything wrong.

Let's look at the reality of the situation though. You have a female who joins the forum and immediately every "leg humper" (most of the active members from what I've seen) jumps on her every single thread. With all the attention it's inevitable that some negative statements will get tossed out.

It's just the way we humans are. How many popular people do you know who don't have people who dislike them as well?

In summary, a female joined the forum, she was constantly kept in the spotlight, due mainly to the leg humpers, and it attracted negative attention as well.

If a male had joined and done the same exact threads, NONE of this would be going on.

Again, nothing wrong was done on her part. Testosterone is the main culprit....that and a few trolls.

Is it true that, [certain] PFF members "eat their young"? So far we're loosing 1-2 good members per month?

Mr. Fiero...maybe? If he sells the convertible I doubt he will join us again?
Will-Martin...maybe? If he sells all of his Fiero, he too may be out-a-here?
Songman…. gone. His spirit was eaten alive by trolls.
Miss-Tess007...spirit eaten alive by leg-humpers, trolls or thread-killers.

Some of you are way too nice. To have someone that is genuinely enthusiastic about her Fiero be met with rude, disheartening comments (for no damn good reason whatsoever) is straight up Bull****. I don't care what their perception is. Is it that damn hard not to read her threads if it bothers you so much? The answer is no. --Directed at those who made said comments: Get a ****ing life.

She's resting after finishing the Indy 500

I'm glad that local Fiero owners can confirm Tress is okay. She brings a lot of good material to the Forum. Do you think Will might leave? That would be too bad. His build ups are pretty good, with admittedly more effort than 99.9% Fiero owners can or are willing to do.
I sometimes fear another Plazmaman/GTDude is dead thread, or a derangedsheep in critical condition thread or fillintheblank is crazy/suicidal thread.

While I didn't care for what I saw posted, I admired the lady for taking on a task like a FIero. Not many of the female types venture in to automotive repair because some people feel "its a mans world".

We get someone here whos really into thier car and the only that comes outof this place is bunch of folks acting like Trolls. Way to go fellas, you know who you are.

You know, I didn't see all the "leg humper" activity people refer to, but I did see a lot of leg humper comments from people. Like paying *any* attention to a female member must be leg humping.

Did she get more attention because she's female? Probably, but not nearly what the leg humper patrol would make it seem like.

Fino (nice guy) was a "new member" when insulted by Stimpy (it was just Stimpy's normal "new member" insults) Fino, didn't feel welcome so he hasn't posted since.

I'll bet there's more.

This really is too bad. I also must have missed the thread where ppl were mean to her. To tell the truth, i miss the diary threads that she posted, very well written, good pics, and just generally a great read.

She was an inspiration, at least to me. Bought her first fiero, and dove right in with the fixing it up and caring for it, and all that enthusiasm, it certainly was contaigeous! (sp? lol) After reading her diary threads, it inspired me to get off my lazy arse, and go finish replacing my transmission! And now, it runs again, and i couldnt be happier. So I would like to thank you Tress, you were inspirational to me, and instramental in motivating me to fix my car! Thank you!

after reading that list of members lost, it makes me sad, i really liked those guys, and hope that they will return.

Tress, dont let a few a*holes crap all over it for ya. hope to see another diary real soon!

stimpy: I don't answer PM's, EMails, or phone calls that contain insulting or profane language. So, I'm going to answer your PM here. Please note that I'm not quoting your PM here, just answering it.

And this answer isn't directed 100% at you, there are a few others on PFF who do the same thing. It's not as bad as it was before the housecleaning 6 months ago but if we loose one good member, like Tress, because of the insults they get here, maybe we need another housecleaning.

So here's your answer...........

You didn't do anything to me. You may be a nice guy in real life, but the way you treat others (especially new members) isn't right. Besides Fino, I know there are at least 3 others' that don't post to PFF because they were insulted early on by you. I can't recall the other 3 guys PFF names but I know their real names.

I know that "it's just the internet" & you're just having fun but you don't consider (or don't care) how your words & insults can discourage other' from participating in our Forum. Some of these people had a lot to contribute to the Forum. One of them was/is very high up at GM in the powertrain area & could have been a great member. Fino, also works at GM. He has built many show cars & has owned some neat rides.

Yeah I know, these guys should be old enough & smart enough to know that "It's only the Internet" & they should ignore your insults. And you know what, they are ignoring you and everybody else at PFF by just not being here.

You see, many of them are in their 50's plus. They've got by all those years without the Internet. Then someone who is also into Fieros, talks them into joining groups like PFF. Before they have a chance to become addicted to a daily diet of PFF, someone comes along and attacks or insults him for no apparent reason. After that it's pretty easy for them to ignore PFF & not let it become a part of their lives.

They keep on living their lives, building their cars, going to car shows & coming up with new ideas but they just don't share them with us.

Archie

PS, you now have a couple of days to insult me, because I'm leaving for the Dells show right now.
So have at it.

A

I agree, stimpy you are to harsh on people, maybe some time away from the computer would help ease your mental incapacity to be mean to other people (constantly).

The easiest way to deal with stimpy and yes, you do have to deal with him is to, JUST IGNORE HIM AND SUCK IT UP.

Good job, Arch. You took a post about someone who I consider an intelligent, talented writer who chooses to do something else with her time (who, by the way, I've exchanged quite a few friendly and encouraging PM's with) and made it about stimpy, the newbie killer.

Newbies, know your enemy. It is me. Go ahead and give me that neg now, Archie says so.

The easiest way to deal with stimpy and yes, you do have to deal with him is to, JUST IGNORE HIM AND SUCK IT UP.

That has been said many times before to just try and ignore the insults and trolls. Well, sometimes it's really kind of hard when they post over and over again trying to get attention and then if they can't get your attention they send you insulting e-mails and/or PM's. Look at some of my threads.
And quit playing Mr. Innocent after you piss people off Stimpy. Look at how many useless posts you have in my Fieros on the lawn thread and I am not even a newbie. We have had almost the full range of you Stimpy over many months, from the protector of PFF, a western area Fiero club director, jester. jokester, insulter, complainer, trolling under a different id, going on and on about why can't the forum be the like old days again, flame feeder, coming up with insulting names for members and their Fieros, whining, please ban me comments, haven't you heard- I'm crazy, jesus saved me and now he's dead Jim. Did you turn to the dark side per chance?
Seriously though, Stimpy look at most of your posts at least in GFC, you don't just post cute little snide snippets anymore, you trash, insult, attack, hound and hammer away harshly on people over and over. The reason you are not getting banned as you state it is that you have been around a long time on PFF and many members respect you for that and of course your high amounts of pluses are helping you (for the moment) as well. But you have more red than I have ever seen you have before and you even had a thread about your growing red not long ago so you are well aware of your attitude and how many people are taking you now.
I guess I would ask you if you are a true Fiero lover and forum supporter any more or are you now just so upset at whoever for whatever reason that you just can't get past the fact that there are many others out there in the world who love Fieros and would like to be a welcomed member here on this forum too and you just can't adjust to it?
Sorry, but I don't believe that everyone else needs to always adjust to you and have a thicker skin than usual to survive your useless posts. You need to adjust to the forum, not the other way around.
Sorry if you might think now that this thread looks like it has turned into an attack stimpy thread, but I have 7 posts from you right now in just one of my threads for a good example and there isn't one positive comment from you in any of them. Fieroparts.com (a former Fiero club president no less) has the most posts other than you in it and all of his are useless insults too, so please tell us why we are all wrong here and only you are right.

Come on now. Everyone knows Fiero5's negs are undeserved and should automatically disappear after a week or something like that. He should have nothing but positives. Everyone loves his "look at my...err...Jordan's new shift knob [insert 50 pictures here]" posts. Nobody minds his attacks on the "trolls." He definatly never adds fuels the fire.

But yeah, you get the point. I'm done.
