Had the same problem last year. Too many folks haven't updated their email addreses in PFF.
OTOH, I went by Midas today and let Rob (PFF name=electron)know about this get together. He marked it down so hopefully there will be 3 from here.

How about a list of names that have registered - updated regularly, of course. Maybe we can shame some people into getting their registrations in sooner!

Note I only say this because I have already sent in mine, hehehehehe

The Okies that have showed up for all the other Ruckus'es know about it. I'm bringing them some entry forms to the meeting Sunday, since not all of them have computers.

Seems as if we have a lot of participants coming through/from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A Friday caravan down I-35 raceway would be nice and fun. Regardless of which route is initially chosen (I-35 east or I-35 west) , they converge at Hillsboro and continue on to Austin from there.
So, a caravan seems very possible. It is just over 2 hours (?) from Hillsboro to Austin. A nice cruise.

Galia and I can go anytime during the day on Friday. Want to meet up?

WOW!,

Every Ruckus gets better and better.

Number ONE was fun.
I missed TWO, due to a death, but the word got passed...it was a blast.
San Angelo for THREE was great indeed.
Now the big FOUR, who could ask for more.

If you are anywhere close to the Great Republic of Texas in October, this is the place to be. You will see some great cars, have ever greater fun and meet some of the greatest people.

I look foward to making some new friends and seeing the friends that make these events more than just another Fiero show.

Be there or be square.

aka Mike Parker

I'll be sending in registration this week for myself, Daniel, and my dad. Do I have to pick which year and model I'll be driving? It still depends on which is running and looking better closer to the time.
As far as the caravan from DFW goes, chances are we'll be in for that.

Two things:

1) This event will have some really cool donated items that will be raffled - cheap. This is one of the many benefits of being tied to a charity. http://www.austinsmiles.org/

2) This event is about People, Fun and Fieros - in that order. So don’t worry about making your car pretty for the event. Just bring it. We are going to have lots of fun!

Who is handling the games?
Saw some interesting ones at our company barbecue. Water ballons and men in women's clothes.
I loved laughing at office pogies.

Let's do a "identify these parts" game, that would be cool. Simple rules would be that each contestant gets a form with a list of numbers and blanks matching the parts, fills the form out at their leisure with a time limit of, say, an hour, and person with most positive IDs wins. In case of a tie, fastest time wins. No generic screws, and if there are any parts with part numbers such as relays the part numbers need to be removed. Also, should not use too many parts that fit in more than one place, i.e., use unique parts.

Not me-plenty of others there to make fools of themselves. Just the upper echelon types. Imagine your boss in a dress, wig and heels in front of your whole workplace. Me? I wuz just a spectator-errr-- voyur-no--a bystander. Yeah, bystander-that's the ticket.
(it wuz funny as heck tho)

Revin, would you happen to have a layout of the block of rooms at La Quinta?

Not to worry Amber I will just kick Blake and jen out of their room ( at my house) or maybe put Steven on the floor and you can fight Daniel over the couch!

Hotel Info ---

For those of you not bunking in with Revin . . .

LaQuinta Inn (I-35 South & Ben White) --- a block of rooms has been held under “Capitol City Ruckus” for a discount rate of $52 plus tax. This includes a continental breakfast. What is Kevin serving for breakfast?

Choices of beds---king or 2 double in a room. Four people to a room allowed without any extra charge.

LaQuinta Inn -- call directly (512) 443-1774, then press 0 for the operator. You will get a person at that LaQuinta (there are several in Austin)
Sept. 23, 2005 -- deadline for getting the $52 discounted rate (normally $69).
To Hold a Room - rooms can be held until 6 PM or guaranteed with a credit card.

I have had to use the floor many of times in the past, it want be the first. But the couch is so comfortable, so I believe that will be the choice I take. Cant wait for the show, have tried to talk a few others into going to it but not forsure if its going to work.

Ken & Heidi / Kevin...FYI,

I just tried to get a KING BED for Sharon & I. According to reservations the event only has 2 doubles per room at the rate of $52.00 on the block. In order to get the KING I had to confirm at $63.90 per night. If there is something different please let me know as I have a confirmation.

Thanks,

Mike Parker

***HOTEL PHONE NUMBER***

Too call for room reservations --- (512) 443-1774, then press 0 for the operator.
That will connect you with a person in Austin at that LaQuinta Inn (there are several LaQuinta Inns in Austin). There should be no problem getting the “Capitol City Ruckus” block rate of $52 + tax a night with your choice of a king or 2 ea. full size beds plus the continental breakfast when you call this phone number.

Sorry about the mix up. The 800-561-5900 connects to "LaQuinta Central Reservations" and their computers do not keep track of the blocks each of their individual hotels have going.

Heidi

This will pick up a lot during the next month I'm sure, but:

Folks ya need to get your registrations in as soon as you can. It helps the organizers (hosts) out a lot to know as soon as possible how many to plan for, plus, everything they've spent so far has come out of their own pocket. Just running around finding a site and planning a cruise route can put a dent in a wallet at today's gas prices, not to mention goodie bags, tshirts, & time.
(btw John, Jane's username is Calamity Jane)

Thanks Don,

I forgot CalamityJane's PFF sig.

Not much of a crowd signed up yet, it seems. Oh well, Rob White (AAFO) posted that most attendees wait until the last minute to send in their reservations for the Spring AAFO RoundUp. I guess this will be about the same way.

BTW - I notice the HOSTS haven't registered yet, hehehehe!!!!!

OK,

This is for JSCOTT and SANDERSON. The weather will be in the low to mid 70s. Here is how I got it.The RUCKUS is on 10/08/05 and it is the 4th one. so..............

10 X 8 = 80, - 5 = 75; then take the 4 away from that = 71; therefore it should be somewhere in the low to mid 70s.

Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

This is good news, some cooler weather will be appreciated. I just mailed my entry today so it's official that I will be there with my son. Unless a miracle occurs it will be in my GT and not the chop top.
