I went to my local Sunday cruise today and wasn't expecting to see anything new so I didn't even bring my camera with me. To my surprise a real nice looking Indy Fiero was driving through and I ask him to stop for a while. He tells me he is looking to sell this Indy, so I ask him to give some info on it and that I will post it on the forum. The more I hear the more interesting it got. It turns out he used to work for the Pontiac dealership and has had the car since new. It has a little over 14,000 miles on it and he tells me it has never been registerred. He even had dealer plates on it right now. The interior of the car was mint. The carpets and seats look brand new. The kicker is this, the car has the stock engine in it right now but he has a Super Duty engine that he had in the car at one time. That engine had been gone over by the factory rep and even has an Inglese intake with the dual throttlwe bodies. He had taken that engine out after running it for a short while and put the stock engine back in because the other one wasn't too streetable. He tells me he has all the documentation and even has new stickers for the lower edge stripping. The front and rear bumpers had a little bit of spider cracking but the rest of the body was like new. I took a bunch of pictures and will be posting them shortly. I asked him how much he wanted for the car or the Super Duty engine and he said he would sell the whole package and even some spare parts he has for $10,500. I'm sure he could be talked down too. I will post pictures as soon as I download them and scan the ones he gave me of the engine. His contact information is as follows: Jay Antonucci (203) 735-0488
Pictures to follow.

He told me he used to show the car years ago and had it parked in his Father-in-law's garage for about 14 years. He recently moved it out of there because his Father-in-law was storing tomato plants on it, luckily the car suffered no damage from this. I called my wife to bring my camera over so I could get some pictures for you all. The Indy ran real good and sounded good when he pulled in. I didn't see any smoking and it looked like the AC was working because of the condensation I saw on th lines in the spare tire compartment. He also told me he has the solid engine covers and any parts needed to completly restore the car back to original. Anyway, here are more pictures.
Original tires, these would only be for show as the are starting to dry rot.
The air filter suffered some rust from being stored off the car.
He has some real nice braided covered wires to go with it.
It also still has the Super Duty engine headers.

That's one HELL of a deal. If I wasn't already getting a low-mileage Pace Car and Superduty engine, I'd be all over it real quick. Someone has to go for that.
Nice find, avengador.

Aren't some SuperDuty engines on the street? I think we have PFF members running them, don't we? What would MAKE it "streetable"?

He told me it had a racing cam and has Inglese carbs. He said it was real hard to tune these so it would run right on the street. The Super Duty engine was set up more for racing than street use. It probably could use a de-tune to make it more street able. The stock 4 cylinder engine is installed right now and it runs very good. His contact information is above if you have any questions. The only other Indy Fiero I have seen with a Super Duty engine belongs to Chester and Elvira. His (Chester's) won't even run without racing fuel.
