Well i figure its time to post on this again, as its been over a year since me and MRJ sent 1,000's of dollars worth of fiero parts to forum member wheels1 (chris irsik) to be powdercoated, well originally he told us it would be 1 month to do it all then we pay for return shipping (cost us about $300 to ship everything to him) well after a month we called and asked for progress and he said they were just about done, we sent him a complete 88 front suspension with cross member, a set of 86-87 GT rims, and probably 6 upper intakes, and countless other metal items that are found on the fiero.
turns out that another forum member went down to his shop and ALL our stuff was just sitting there unopened in the boxes we shipped them in, so we waited a week and asked him of the progress and he still claimed they were just about done. so we waited about a month and just asked him to return the items to us that he's completed, he agree'd so we figured they'd be in, in about a week or two, they never showed up, we asked him to ship us back all our items again, he agree'd and they never showed up either
Now if shipping were no issue, as we have a fedex account so he doesnt even have to pay shipping, just drop stuff off at the fedex place and they will take care of it, i guess that wasnt simple enough for him, so our items STILL have not showed up.
he wont answer his phone now, and his girlfriend wont give him the messages that both me and MRJ leave for him.
IF ANYONE lives in the hutchison KS area and is willing to pick up our items, and ship them back to us VIA fedex we will glady pay you for your trouble, we just want our items back. I think a year (probably almost a year and a half now) is TOO LONG to wait for some crap to be powdercoated.
our deal with chris was to send him all these items, with a list of what we wanted back (it was small compaired to what we sent) and he would keep everything else to sell and make profit off of, we figure if nothing is powdercoated we really dont owe him anything, if some stuff is done then id re-evaluate what we owe him, but then again, he's lied to us, and basically stole from us.
IF ANYONE lives in that area, or is willing to travel there, Ill get you the address to the place he is staying, and hopefully you can catch him at home or something my phone number is 304-746-2267 (durring day) and cell is 304-444-4495 anytime after 4:00 PM eastern time.
id really like to get some of my parts back, especially my bored out intake plenum that was done by darrell morse, my car seems to be missing that with its 3.4L motor.
someone please help

This is really out of order and I don't understand how people in business can treat people in that way. I'm also having trouble with the dealer who I bought my Fiero from.
My advice is get your lawyer to fire a warning shot across his bows. Don't forget to ask your lawyer to include in his intoductory letter that you'll also sue for the costs incurred including the legal expenses!
Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
And don't forget to name and shame him as much as possible on websites

Why not see if that other forum member that went there for you the first time can go there again to get the stuff? Is this possible or was that a one time deal?

Called woke up his wife just now. Told her that I will be contacting a lawyer next week if I do not get a phone call or my items back. I'm tired of this too.

Well two forum members went down there, but it was when we were still in good standings with chris, one of them lives 3 hours away and was getting work done to his car, and the other lived an hour away and was also getting work done, hutchinson is about an hour south of witchita from what i understand.
i tried calling last night and just got the machine, im tired of talking to the machine, ive talked to it about 20-30 times in the last 6 months, it never gives me any good answers.
i think chris ment well when he had us ship the stuff to him, but he got in way over his head, and doesnt have the decency (im sure i spelled that wrong) to send our stuff back, and its almost like he's afraid to send it back now.

Its only about a day drive to go there with a pickup or van and a friend or 2, pick up the stuff in person at about 12 am. Take a few extra things with you for your trouble. Sounds like you sent enough stuff to make the trip worthwhile. Good luck. Bring any paper work with you to prove shipping, sales, ownership in case hes an ass and calls to cops.
If you do make the trip down it may be worth a call ahead of time to the local PD. A girlfriend of mine from my car club was having a problem with a paint shop. Given this was all local. They waited till the job was done and asked for almost another 2K due to un-expected body work. They were instructed up front to call if additional work was needed. They didn't. After the paint is on it is also hard to prove what was done, if anything. Well after going round with them she called the local PD and explained the deal. They met her beforehand, drove to the shop and got her car back.

I will definitely see about going down there and getting what parts I can. I dont have a truck, but I maybe able to access one to get the stuff. I would like to hear from Chris too, I always appreciated the work he did on my cars. I'll keep in touch, sorry it's taken me so long to see what's going on.
Thanks, Amir.

that's too bad about the situation. chris seems a bit odd to me, but then again every fiero owner i've ever met seemed a bit odd. but he seemed to be an ok guy from meeting him a few times.
