It's good to see that even though it has taken a long time, this problem has been finally brought to the attention of a PFF'ers... MTA, there are people still waiting for your explanation on the shortcomings dug out of the archives.
It's sad to see how many people on this forum have expirenced internet fraud at the hands of this person, as I've been going through a similar ordeal on a local forum (not Fiero related, but a vehicle nonetheless) I understand Chris' position and hope that he gets something back out of this hardship... I know if I lived closer I'd be helping in any capacity to get something back.
Lets not have this end up in the trashcan, as this kind of exposure needs to continue to weed out the weasel and expose him for the fraud he is.

They look a little faded and thin to me, like' maybe' they were old ones that had been replaced? Unlike the [ahem] places I stay at, most resorts don't keep towels till they fall apart, then cut them up into washcloths. My ex used to work at a Hyatt, and they were always giving away the old ones, that didn't seem to have anything wrong with them to me, except they were faded.
Besides, I always thought 'borrowing' motel towels was a national pastime.

The $160 I'm out wouldn't even put a dent in a lawyer's retainer, not to mention hourly costs. And even if we all sued together (and tacked on legal fees), we'd never see dime one. Kieth would either move or declare bankruptcy, and we'd all be left paying off some lawyer. Nah, I've pretty much resigned myself to never seeing that money again, and trying to keep other people from making the same mistake. After his 'disappearance' 3 years ago, I figured he was gone, or atleast moved of to f-body land (bigger market). But to see that he is still trying to be active in the Fiero community is just disturbing.

A "real names" policy would prevent a lot of the trash talk and fraud that people complain about here. It works wonders for both civility and honesty on other boards. People can still have screen names, their real verifiable name must just be somewhere -- like in the member's directory.

When I said "legally going after him", I meant utilizing the various organizations/jurisdictions which can respond to alleged Internet crimes and other cases of Fraud. I was not suggesting that someone on PFF run out and hire an attorney.

So we can add libel to MTA's rap sheet. Why hasn't someone taken legal action yet? At least file a complaint? If he's ripping people off through the mail, that's mail fraud.

If you've been ripped off, file a complaint. Above are links to both the FBI's Inernet Fraud Complaint Center and the USPS mail fraud reporting site. It doesn't cost anything to report him.

MTA likes to brag how good he has it, and how money isn't a problem. If he owes people money and is braging he has lots of it, then he should get that money back to those people he riped off.
MTA should be auto banned for having multiple user names and being a con artist period.

Quite the opposite. Thanks to Chris's 'detective work' a long-time PFF scourge has been brought out into the harsh light of public scrutiny. The fact he's not banned (yet) allows him to dig himself deeper. I posted a complaint with the internet fraud center after Sybliss took me for $221.00 and it reverts back to the Attorney General's Office in your state. All they do is send a certified letter for response. Since Indiana is a long way from Florida they do a followup letter if no response and then forward anything after that to the Florida Attorney Generals office. Since he is a small time crook they pay little attention to him as they have bigger fish to fry. So unless a lot of you who have been dealt with in a bad way by this POS start complaining and filing complaints he is free to do what he thinks he can get by with. MY loss was over 2 years ago so I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out. I will pay him a visit someday in person and I will extract my pound of flesh one way or another.

I hoped that MTA wasn't doing this and wished he would come forward to try and clear his name. He seemed like a really nice guy, I even sent him a sunroof set-up for free. It seems that everyone I've sent free parts to ends up ripping others off. That bothers me alot.
I'm disappointed MTA if this is true.

No sarcasm here. I agree with you. In this instance, the rating system seems NOT to be doing one of the things it should be. Maybe not the 'system', but those using it. While it's true there are 2 sides to every story, it seems we've heard the only ones we're going to hear, and it's all one sided.
