The late eighties Cutlass Ciera has plastic caps on the front shock towers to cover the strut shaft and nut so they don't show..I think these covers would fit on the rear strut towers of the Fiero.
Dragon1/Brian
They do fit... I picked up some today.... Make's it look alot cleaner.
Thank's for the idea.
Smooth!!

Orange lighted buttons from other pontiacs work out nicely in our cars. I have a fog lamp switch from a grand am that I will one day install on my car.

no one has mentioned a 82 corvette Master cylinder upgrade, it doesnt look stock but it works like a damn and the pontiac ste axle upgrade. factory fiero axles are something like 23mm where as the ste is something like 25mm.

The sun visors from a LeBaron are a direct bolt-in. This lets you have lighted visors. I collected them to the power supply in the overhead lights.
You can use the overhead console from a Grand Am, also, as long as you don't mind modifying the headliner. I used one so that I could have a nice, neat driving light switch that looked stock.
I did both of these, and a electrically dimming mirror, while I had the headliner out to put on a GT rear clip.

I know that 88 and 89's will work, as well as the one's from a Shadow. I think that all of the last series of LeBaron coupes use the same visors.
Another semi-bolt-on mod: The power seat base in an Olds Calais will bolt up to a stock Fiero seat. The seat bases must be changed, however, to bolt on to the floor. Also, the seat switch must be moved, as it interferes with the e-brake.

SKIDMARK: the steering wheel you saw was most likely from a grand am, not too sure on the year but i think it would be from the second last generation, im looking to do the same swap and know the exact wheel your talking about. definatly looks good, you have to be careful though. whatever kind of wheel you get make sure it has a rounded back cause a square type back would like out of place on the circular steering column of a fiero...if you understand what im saying! but the wheel in question is perfect.

Trevor (Gridlock), since you started this informative thread, I wanted to ask you where your favorite wrecking yards are here in the Lower Mainland. Years ago I used to go out to Scott Road in Surrey. Are they even there any more?

My favorite is Cap'n Crunch in Abbotsford. The last time I was there they didn't have many cars though. It looked as though they had downsized. They do have awesome prices though. I've gone to Ralph's a few times. The one on Mitchell? Island(Under Knight street bridge) trid to rip me off a few times but the one in Surrey *can* be good if you negotiate.
Other than that, I haven't found too many decent junkyards in the lower mainland. My first choice is always Cap'n Crunch though.
Hope that helps.

Cap'n Crunch??!!! Great name but never heard of it. Thanks for the info.
Place on Mitchell Island tried to charge me a lot more than what they had quoted on the phone. I raised a fuss and they lowered the price, but it makes you think twice before going back again.

Cap'n Crunch. They even have the guy off the cereal on the sign. If you are familiar with Abbotsford, its down past Costco along Sumas Way on Huntingdon, next to the fish hatchery.

Front air dam from a Fiero "aero" bumper cover if you can find one. I found mine at a pull it yourself yard for $26.00. The upper part was damaged so I didn't feel so bad about cutting it up. See sig.

(Brought back from the dead) I knew I saw this pictured somewhere... I got the same thing today from my favorite yard.
Only thing I don't like is how high it sits. Is it possible to shorten an automatic shifter?
I also got the stereo out of the same car for $5. Great yard!!
