Seeing the seemingly unprofessional, unofficial writing style and grammatical content of the pages, my first reaction was that it was a hoax. However, it seems evident, reading the rest of the thread, that it's genuine... just kinda strange, IMHO!
<rampant speculation> You know, looking at the verbiage of the book and plate, and the fact that GM didn't just suck it up, do the recall, and say nothing more instead of releasing a BOOK and PLATE THAT STUCK TO THE CONSOLE, it sure seems like someone in GM management was using this as an opportunity to drive a stake into the heart of the Fiero program. Another case of those Corvette folks afraid of losing sales to a neater car? </rampant speculation>
Ohh that is great... I like one of the lines previously quoted. "the escaping oil can catch fire, causing an engine fire" or something along those lines... Hmm... I wrote things like that in 6th grade. I have never heard of these things but I agree that it was probably some exec trying to kill off the fiero when he got the chance... ohh well

I have one of those plates. I found it in a Fiero. I thought it was funny when I read it. Still has the clear cover on front and mounting pads on the back. I always wondered how many of those were around and where it went.
