yes, most of the time I think the shipping is made by an old, tired pack-mule but so far everything has reached the destination over here So two plates to Sweden then!

I sent an email to the company thursday asking if they could give me an estimated time and haven't heard back from them yet.
It's also holding me up because I can't take my interior apart this winter for the 7 mods I'm doing untill I take some pictures of that plate installed.
I'm going to call them Monday.

Thanks for the update. Keep us informed. I don't mean to be nagging, just wondered where we were in the process. I for one understand how much time it takes to have something properly designed and built. Also, just wanted to let you know there is still significant SERIOUS interest in these.
The plate was finished today on schedule. I was originally going to have it mailed to me, but since it fell on a weekend and we are expected to get a snow storm over the next 24 hours, I decided to pick it up.
Turned out very good, fitment is excellent...
Keep in mind this is not a finished product. It still needs to be polished, it needs to be mounted (it's just sitting there for the picture) and it needs something under it to hide the shifter guts. (ie: nylon boot, bristles, etc) As mentioned previously in the thread, it's a raw product that you put the final touches on yourself to your liking.
Here is another picture with Kitcarman's billet aluminum overlay surrounding it...
I'm going to call the company on Monday, get a verified final price quote, then I will Private Message all those who were interested with payment information.

What I mean is, what you see is what you get. It's up to you to finish it how you see fit.
Here are quotes from my description throughout the thread...
quote
Plates will arrive as you see it in the 3D image. Basicly unfinished. That way you can apply the final touches to your liking. Brush it, paint it, or polish it. You can use double-sided tape or drill 2 holes and screw it down like the original. You can put a strechy boot under it, epoxy in paint brush bristles, or leave it open. It's better to offer it this way... it keeps cost down and allows you to finish it the way you want.
quote
All you get is the metal plate. The rest you mod yourself.

There will be no more pictures. (unless somebody requests a close-up of the part itself) I am tearing my interior apart this winter to do a bunch of modifications. My "finished product" won't be done untill April.
Monday I will take a total count, contact everyone via Private Mesage who was interested with payment information, and order that amount. Thanks for everyone who took interest.

Im sorry, I miss understood. I would tell you to put me on the list, but I have to make sure that I can get it. Being 16 my funds are very limited. I will get back with you as soon as I am sure I will be able to purchase it.
Everyone who wanted one check your Private Messages for payment info.
Thanks & enjoy.

I received 3 payments so far, thanks guys, you know who you are.
It is important to note..... those of you who showed interest need to reply to your Private Message with your intent. I cannot order these plates untill the majority comes through with payment. If the majority fails to come through, all of this will be for nothing, because I cannot order just a few. If the majority fails to come through, I will have to return the payment of the few, and those are the guys who get screwed. I don't mind getting stuck with a few extras, but I'm not going to get stuck with a bunch of extras.
I designed this for my car and myself. I have mine for my car already. (the prototype) I only offered this to the community as a favor, it's called being kind and sharing, a contribution to the community, thinking some owners would want one being that they are no longer available, let alone a better designed foundation. There are no large profits to gain, the money I make off the plates pays for my prototype and time.
I don't mind doing it at all, that's why I did it, because I wanted to. But one thing I will not do is chase people down for it, that doesn't benifit me in any way. It's up to you. It doesn't matter to me either way. The only ones that will suffer are the ones who really wanted one and send payment.
Minimum order is 20. I think I had a total count of 17 people. I don't mind having 5 left over. So we need at least 15 payments received before I can place the order. For those of you who didn't send payment, please let us know what your intentions are. The longer you wait, the longer you leave the other guys hanging.

Price is fair. I think the original Fi-Euro setup was around $90 to $100.
Rodneys shifter is much nicer at $55, and my plate is much nicer at $20.
Both for $75 isn't bad at all considering it's cheaper and better than the original.
Like I said above, it really doesn't matter to me, I would just feel bad for the guys who want one, and don't end up getting one. If 30 guys said they wanted one, that would be easy because there is a good chance of getting 50% to follow through. It's hard when 17 took interest and you need almost everyone to follow through.
I received 6 payments, and Cenneth from Sweden is waiting to send his 2, which would make 8. That's not going to make it. We need to get close to 15 so I can order the minimum of 20.
I don't mind having 5 left over, but I don't want to have 10 left over.
I've done all that I can. It's up to the guys who send payment to pressure the guys who wanted one but haven't sent payment.
If we don't get 5 to 7 more in the near future, I'll have to abort and return the payments. Sorry guys.
I had a feeling this was going to happen when I saw this Thread. Everyone always is in on getting something till its time to actually pay the money. Should have asked for money up front to insure you had the support first. Hopefully everyone will come thru so i can get my plate and order my shifter from Rodney. There is always E-Bay for the remaining 10, I bet you can double what your asking easly on E-bay.
Like I mentioned previously, if you have 40 people who are interested, you will get your 20.
If you have 15 who are interested, you will get around 7-8, which is what happened.
If we could get around 12 then I would still do it. I'd just sell some on eBay and some to late-comers. I want to help the guys out who want one, but I'm not going to take a beating to do it.
I realize it's not a highly desireable part, but it is a rare oppurtunity.

Wow I hadn't checked the thread for a while. I didn't realize you were having such a difficulty getting payments. Mine went in the mail yesterday. Sorry I didn't send earlier, I had to move in an abbreviated fashion (3 days) because of an immediate business trip my boss sent me on. It was an interesting couple of weeks. Anyway, the check is in the mail <-and that's no joke.
Just called to check on the status of the order...
Plates are scheduled to be cut on March 17th.
Sorry... was hoping it would be sooner.
If I had known it was going to take a month, I would have ordered them eariler, but at that time we only had a few payments sent, and I didn't want to get stuck with a bunch. I should have rolled the dice, but everytime I do I end up getting shafted.
So it's just 17 more days.
