When I come to Daytona I will have with me some items to sell. They are a 3800 supercharger with a Magnuson nose with 2.8 and 3 inch pulleys with less than 10,000 miles on it,97 throttle body bored out to 71mm from standard 69mm,a pair of BF Goodrich comp T/A drag radials with only 8 runs on them size P275/50r15 ,10 inches wide and 26.1 inches in diameter.A 1988 Fiero V6 auto computer and a 1985 air conditoning compressor. If you need more power out of your 3800 that supercharger and throttle body is good for 75 to 100 hp depending on what other engine improvements you have.Stop by and see me if interested.

Bike Week 2006 wraps up in Daytona, Florida, and this year's event will go down as the deadliest ever. Since the event began eight days ago, there has been more than 164 motorcycle accidents, causing dozens of injuries and killing at least 16 people. Last year eight people died in motorcycle related crashes during Bike Week. Police attribute the increase in accidents to warm weather and inexperienced riders. Bike week attracted more than a 500,000 bikers this year.

Unhappily, effective immediately because of processing time with Daytona Racing District, we can no longer accept full registration for the Daytona show.
Contact Frank at the above address. He can give you all the information. You can still register, just have to do it piece meal versus the regular pre-registration.
He can give you all the specifics.
I am so glad you are bringing your car, been dying to see it in person !
You will absolutely love the show trust me.

You can register with the Daytona Racing District as late as the day of the event. It's $30 for all three days. The Host hotel, (Holiday Inn) is sold out, but I found a room at the Comfort Suites not too far away. You can register ala carte at the hotel for all the other amenities.

Thanks or posting the info. You have everything correct.
Do you happen to have a number for the Comfort Inn you got into?
Thanks

I'm in! Fixed my muffler problem (big crack hole) and a coolant leak and car is ready for the long drive. Most probably will drive same Saturday morning. Hope to see you all there
Anyone in the Tidewater Va area have a car trailer they might want to rent for a week? I'm not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about my U-haul reservation (they say there is a severe shortage of car transports in the area and are supposed to call me a day before pickup to see if I get one).

When would be the best time saturday to meet the most people? I will probably only get to stay for a few hours and last year I only got to meet 2 or 3 people.
How much security is there in the parking lot behind the hotel ?...................Is there a rear entrance to that area?............. I guess I'm paranoid about this kind of thing...................!!!! Too much time invested to have someone screw around with our Fieros !.............Can I get an AMEN from anybody ?

I'm not sure how much there is at the hotel - but there is plenty inside the track. I'll check with te hotel on Monday abut how much if any they have. Of course there will be lot's o other cars around. It is a 2,500 show car turnout.

AMEN, but please if you have any significant time and money invested in your Fiero please get an appraisal and some full coverage. Nothing worse than having your $20,000 Fiero trashed only to get a check for $1,500 from the insurance company.

Trailers are hot items on the open market !!!!! Maybe I just need a cold beer to help alay my fears ! Yeah, thats what I need........a COLD BEER !!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT THURSDAY.........SEE EVERYBOBY THERE.

If you do not need the trailer close to you normally there is secure trailer parking at the track
I'd rather have a glass of wine

Park it at the track inside the gates, & lock it up. You shouldn't have any problem.
When I park my trailer at the track, I use a number of locks, one on the trailer tongue, it pops right in (from underneath) where the tow hitch ball goes. Make it impossible to hook up w/out unlocking.
I use a second one, a cable lock threaded through two wheels. Both doors are secured by locks.
Also have a motion sensing alarm hooked w/ internal battery that will go off if the trailer is moved. (Better safe than sorry.)

Hey I'm from Washington and just realized that I'm going to be about an hour south of Daytona on vacation during this whole thing. I can't seem to completely get what is going on from the web site. If I don't have my car do I just walk into the stadium on Friday? Is there a fee? What time is the stadium open? We don't really have these gatherings in the northwest so I'm pretty excited I'll actually get to see one.
I think there is a $10 fee to get into the speedway BUT if you show up at the hotel bright and early on Sat I'm sure you could hook a ride into the show with somebody that is driving solo. Our show registrations allow a driver and passenger entrance.

Friday is a good day to see the Fieros although Saturday is better. Most of the guys coming in for one day show up on Saturday.
Like Phil wrote you normally can catch a ride in - or spend $10
Just to let anyone know who's still trying to find a room at the hotel. Exotic Rida and 4.9 PFI FIERO can't go, so there is another double bed room available.
Edit: Just cancelled the reservation at 12:15pm.
007 and I are still going, so we'll see you guys there.

Where are you staying Patrick AFB / Melbourne ?
Frank
Actually I'm vacationing in Cape Canaveral and I would be comming along with my grandpa (who used to own a Fiero). So we will probably just pay the fee. Any one know how many Fiero's will be there? And what is going on such as runs around the track and other show stuff like that?

Frank may have an accurate number but typically the Daytona show attracts well over a hundred Fieros. They don't let you run around the track anymore, but you get to park in the infield and enjoy looking at Fiero in the beautiful Florida Weather.

I've hauled my Fiero into the track on a trailer in the past and left the truck & trailer in the Fiero non-show car parking area - didn't cost me extra to do so. We often leave Fieros inside the track Sat and Sun night - it's secure. Use a good lock on your car hauler and it should be safe at the hotel, too - however, your beer will be at risk everywhere you go!
