There are these two trips planned for Friday as an option to just hanging around the hotel. You can go to the track with your registration card (yellow postcard from Daytona) to see what ever has arrived. There is Daytona USA at the track and other things to see in the Daytona Beach area. Frank tried to get other options out there of things to do for people coming in from out of state or other Florida residents. No sign up, just a general time to head out to the Sugar Mill or St Augustine in a caravan.

Do you have to have your Fiero with you to be part of the caravan? I'm having to rent a car to get down there this year.

No need to have a Fiero for the road trips. I am taking a four door car (a support vehicle) in addition to the Fieros. For the breakfast there is a $5 charge per car to get into the park, so going without a Fiero, but in a passenger car, makes some sense.

We will have all the information you need Thursday evening at the hotel along with being in the lobby 1st thing Friday morning. We are looking at leaving the hotel around 8 am for breakfast. Get to restaurant around 8:45 am. eat and be back at the hotel for 11:00 am. We will then be leaving the hotel for a caravan up to St Augustine leaving the hotel around 11:15 or so. Once we get to St Augustine we can jump on the Little Red Train for $12.00 per person, enjoy the hour long tour through the city and then we can explore on our own. You can get on and off the train anywhere in the city and as much as you want. The pass is good for 3 days so if you want to go back during the weekend, the original ticket is still valid.
For people who don't feel that adventuresome, some folk will be going for lunch at the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. We will be meeting there at 1:00 pm. for lunch. Directions will be available at the hotel.
As you can tell we have lots of things planned for this year. Wait until you see what we have planned for Saturday besides the greatest car show ever!

I am leaving today to make it down to Daytona this year and it looks like we will be coming back down to Orlando area. Samantha has some job interviews set up for next week that might land her a teaching job. I look forward to seeing everyone and talking Fieros. This will be the first time I will not have a Fiero at Daytona .

Anyone heading east thru Jacksonville on I-10 wanting to plan a stop by the house, stretch your legs, use the bathroom, have a soda, or in need of any emergency repairs (hopefully NOT) let me know by email if you will. I live about 1 mile off of the Chaffee Rd / White House / Cecil Field Exit on the west side of town, it is the first exit past the east bound rest stop. From my house to Daytona is about an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on how you drive.
Anyone heading south thru Jacksonville on I-95, you can stay on 95 if you wish, which is actually shorter, but if you want to take I-295 and go around the city, I live about 5 miles for the I-295 / I-10 intersection, your certainly welcome to stop by also if you wish.
Anyone wanting a phone number please email or PM me and I will be more than happy to provide one.
Everyone have a Safe Trip.
Bill

Just a final word of caution for you Yankees and also for you drunken rednecks. The weather will be sunny and in the mid to upper 60's this weekend.
So while it will feel cool and comfortable, be sure to use sunscreen. I highly recommend Bullfrog spray - can't beat it. See you all starting tomorrow!!!
