Looking for either plastic, aluminum, or stainless mesh. Even extruded plastic mesh like 1/8 - 1/4" thick (honeycomb like). Any idea on sources?

This is the closest I could find, but for $40 for a roll...

Stop by www.mnpctech.com , and look for "modder's mesh". He has two types, round holes and hex holes. And he sells 12x12" and 12x24" pieces.

Oops, looks like the 12x24" pieces are sold out.

Before you pay big bucks for mesh, check out a roll of rain gutter guard.

While I can't seem to get away with running no front plate here and meshing over the nose, this stuff looks very nice covering the turn signal holes. The trick to installing it is to make it anout half an inch taller than the hole. Stick your hand in and feel the top of the signal hole. you will understand why. Helps locate it, and makes bending the corners over easier. you only have to do the bottom. I just glued them in with something from autozone that's like elmer's glue on crack. Pit Crew's Pride, I think it was. I just used expanded aluminum that had been smashed flat. Very nice touch.
