Now we have a good comparison . Boosted engine vs boosted engine.

These dyno's are only similar in the upper RPM range. Check out what the cobra motor is doing at 2500 rpm vs the srt motor.

The cobra is sitting at like 335 ftlbs where as the srt is sitting at well it doesn't give a reading but it is less than 135 ftlbs Thats 200 more ft lbs of the " TQ" . Thats what hot rodders want .... Low end grunt.

that was never the point though - archie said v8 vs turbo 4 - thats the dynos i originally provided - but even then - when do you drive under 3000rpm when you are driving in a "performance" manner?

the advantage of low end grunt below powerband is for getting moving and towing - most 4cyls hit their powerband by 15mph not 160

people get so hung up on cylinders - or comparing this to that - if you have a 300hp fiero i won't really care how you got it as long as its not nitrous oxide
