One person I mentioned it to (non Fiero person) basicly said it was impossible. Now that's not exactly true, but making a GOOD, Proper rally car might be pretty much out for the Fiero.
Rally cars tend to be front wheel or all wheel drive, and not rearwardly weight biased. The weight bias can be improved upon, but the Fiero's a mid engined rear wheel drive car by nature. That makes things interesting.
kk thanks for the info, cause im looking into getting into RallyCross and need a car for it...was looking at vw's but any other CHEAP! cars that would work good...that i can upgrade when i get up to Rally Sprint levels?

Here's a link to his buildup thread for another rally car, though he hasn't updated it in awhile, it does have pictures of his 85 GT rally car (the white and green one) and another of the 88 GT: http://realfierotech.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1265

I've rallied rear wheel drive, and I've done quite a bit of "spirited" driving in a Mini.
I haven't rallied the Fiero, but I would say a Fiero would do a pretty good job. Where it falls short is the new all-wheel-drive technology. There is just no way it will stay with a Subaru on a dirt road, but, in terms of two wheel drive, why not?
It would be a tricky drifter and would have to be set up for dirt racing, but over all pretty stable.
