OK, whats wrong with an iron duke Fiero? Seems to get her to work and back as well as any other car could, get's on the entrance ramp to the highway and quickly up to 65 or better as she merges onto the highway with no problems, gets almost 30 miles to the gallon, etc, etc. And lastly, it's her Fiero afterall and if she likes it then I'm sorry but I just don't see the problem.

Awhile back we were invited to a Canadian car show in Bedford this Sunday. It is just accross the VT border so it is only a few hours away for us. Closer even than the Spindles show in Marshfield MA that is also this weekend, and with gas being at almost $4. bucks a gallon the closer the better.

This will hopefully be the show that Alayne gets to unveil her newly painted Fiero and she is soooo excited. You should see the shine on this thing, it is incredible! There is a lot we will probably not be able to get done in time though, like repaint the side mirrors, detail the engine area and interior much and other little things like that, so it will be about 80% or 90% done if she is able to take it to the show. We will post pics when we get back and then you can all see it as well

Okay, now that it is painted....I was hoping that you were not going to change the color...but you did....and you painted it copper...and I like it! It looks nice.
A few hours later we were across the border and at our friends place in Sabrevois:
We were all starving so we then cruised in our Fieros to a cool sub shop restauraunt for dinner:
The next morning a few other Fiero owners arrived to cruise with us to the show:
Tarrah rode with Alayne (and also had Sophie - a wired haired Dachsund) in her newly painted Fiero and I drove Jordans (and had Hobbes our Bichon puppy with me) My Dad and my son Jordan came up early Sunday morning in the Blue GT and met us there. Here we are at the show lining up all the Fieros:

Yes, way back before she even had a Fiero she already knew what color she wanted it painted, the Copper color that you see on some of the newer Pontiacs like the Vibe and Astek.

Great looking fiero! Leave it like that! Don't try and over complicate it now, it looks awesome how it sits currently.
Well, it is her car to do with as she wants but I don't think she currently has much else planned for it other than the side mirrors repainted black and stuff like that

I had been wondering what that color would look like on a Fiero. What's up with the wheels? Did they have all the paint taken off? They look good.
Yeah, I agree. It looks really good with this copper color on it. The pictures don't really show you just how sparkly and pretty this paint really is. At different angles and/or as the sun shines across it, it gives it almost chamelion paint type effects as you move around it.
Very cool! The rims are the regular 15" rims that have been painted a shiny silver color and then clear coated. The rims also look even better in person.

Jordans green Fiero actually has Kamei side skirts and not aero side ground effects, so that is why you don't see any side upper ground effects on his doors. Alayne chose to not go with the upper door ground effects because she liked the look of it without them. If she ever changes her mind it is easy enough to add them at anytime

Well it all took a lot of work but it came out great. The preparation before it was painted was a lot of work and we could have done more but we decided to go with it at that point and get it done. We left off the door effects on purpose. I wasn't sure if it would look good but after it was all done I like it. We still have to finish all the black trim etc. I would have got the painting done earlier but a brake line sprung a leak, so I spent a good two days trying to find the parts to fix it. I had to make up my own fix out of odd parts. It came out right the first time. The show in Canada was BIG, over 400 cars were there. Our cars from the states drew a lot of attention. I would like to see more of us from the states bring their cars up to that show. Not just Fieros but all makes. The security at the border is a little tough but it can be done. We had more trouble getting back into the states than getting into Canada. You almost feel as if once you leave they don't want you back. lol That show is always the Sunday of our labor day weekend.

We had a Fiero at our Show 'n Shine a few weeks ago that was alost that color. I have to admit, I like Jordans car. It's different and unique. I have a house full of kids trying to talk me into painting mine into something wild and wonderful.

Yup, great minds think alike I guess I think I even showed Alayne a few pics of your Fiero back then when she wanted to know what that kind of spoiler might look like on a Fiero when she was getting ready to buy it. Thanks ToonTown.
BTW: Did you get all the pics ok that I e-mailed you?

It is coming along nicely. We just spent this morning and part of the afternoon touching it up from where some of the paint chipped off from stones, this last winters driving, etc. She hasn't really done anything else with it other than just drive it and enjoy it. I just picked up a '94 Trans Am loaded including T-Tops, leather, etc and we have been enjoying that but she still loves to drive her 5 speed Fiero, even over her red loaded 5 speed '96 Eclipse
The Fiero with the lambo doors is owned by someone from Canada that was at the car show we drove up to last year.
