I really like white with the black trim. Besides, I have never seen white factory paint fade and crumble like all other factory Fiero colors, especially black and metallics. All the colors are great but white holds up the best hands down.

Gotta move to Europe. I see NO Fieros anywhere, yellow or any other color for that matter :-)

Ive never been a fan of Yellow cars but it looks so good on a Fiero. It shows the most detail of the car without being a boring white.

I'd have to suggest that those percentages reflect what was most popular when the cars were new and would probably reflect about the same numbers if the Fiero was on the new car lot today. We all have different likes or favorites. The rarer a color is always seems to make it more popular somewhere down the road. I'm not sure I have a favorite color on Fieros. but I do have a least preferred. Doing an informal survey of what is on new car lots now tells me that it still generally about the same numbers. Yes, there are some wilder colors out there now and in even greater quanities than before but, check out the new car lots and see what colors are post prevelent. It all comes down to personal taste. Happy Fieroing.

My imagination is the only limiting factor to my Fiero. Well, there is that money issue.

Why does it seem that every 3rd car on the road today in this area is some shade of Silver?
I'm not a fan of silver Fieros though that is the color of the one I'm putting together, my daughter's, and two others I owned previously. I prefer red or yellow.
My black fastback looks good in the shade, but out in the sunlight every flaw in the original paint stands out like a sore thumb. It is tough to keep clean. Every spec of dust shows. I had a painter once tell me that black is the hardest color to prep for and apply.

From what I can tell, red is by far the most popular stock color, and blue would have to be the most popular custom paint color.

None of the two colors I'm trying to decide between for my car are popular exactly, considering they're only mixes in my head at the moment. I know one of them is a color offered by HoK and possibly another mixer, but I don't know what else to call it at the moment, and the mix I want will be somewhat different than normal Snow Whites.

Who says a Fiero should never be painted orange??? hehe lol
That lambo Diablo 6.0 on the previous page is arancio borealis, the same color as our car.
Due to the pearl any stray light changes the color drastically. In the sun it look one way, in the shade another and the sun shows off the pearl dramatically.

ORANGE ALL THE WAY!!!
(but I would figure the most common Fiero color is red)

Same car same color different angles/ lighting causes eyes to see differet color.

Alex. Is that a kit or a custom body?

That there is a custom body which my father and I constructed. We did make molds
and can reproduce any peice of the car again.

A metallic color shows the contures of the body more because of the different angles of the paint and angle the sun is reflected off of it. The lighter the color, the less curves you can see on a car. I have a white Fiero, and in the direct sunlight, you cant see the stock front fender flare, the little bumps in the hood/deckilid, and anything else, it is just all white. On my 86 Fiero, it is very dark metallic blue, with black bumpers, and I can see every curve in the sunlight. Yellow has a simmilar effect as white, since it is lighter, so would lime green, unless they have a metallic flake in it. But even then, the dark colors show more.

Also, the darker the color, the more reflections of the surroundings you get, so it looks shinier.

Here are my 2 Fiero's, and my dads 2-tone Fiero:

http://members.shaw.ca/befarrer1/reflection1.jpg

(note that the bumpers on my dark Fiero are not gloss, and the front right fender has a bad oxidization problem, also the drivers door has been wet sanded above the trim line, so it is not gloss either)

Notice, you can see more of the scenery on my dark Fiero, and therefore notice the lines, and curves more. In most of the pictures, all you can see of my whte Fiero is a big bright object. In these pics, my white fiero has hood vents and you cant even see them in any shots, the best one to see them on is the middle left, but all you can see is the hole.

Also to note, on the shot of all 3 at the rear (bottom right) you can see lots of scenery on my dark Fiero, none on my white one, and some on my dads red Fiero. You can see the little bulge above the rear fender on all but the white one. Yellow Fieros are inbetween the white and the red for showing lines. They show more lines and contures than the white color, but less than red.

And on my dark Fiero, you can see every spider crack, scratch, paint chip and everyting. Cant see any of it on my white Fiero, the roof has lots of hariline cracks in the clear coat on my white Fiero, but they are not visible untill you are 6 inches away. The front bumper on my white fiero has a big scratch that was touched up with a white color that is not close to factory white on the front tip of the passenger side. Also, the hood on my dark Fiero was touched up in the scratches with a different shade of dark blue.
