UPDATED 03.23.06

Hello,

The Michigan Fiero Club is pleased to announce its 2006 Fiero Festival, "Fieros at the Hall." We will be holding this year’s event at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan.. The Hall is located at 21400 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, Michigan 48124. (Phone: 313.240.4000)

The show will be held Saturday July 22, 2006 in the Hall of Fame parking lot. We are also planning a Friday Cruise-in and a Fun Day for Sunday. The Hall of Fame www.automotivehalloffame.org is located next door to The Henry Ford and Greenfield Village www.thehenryford.com, so there will be plenty of opportunity to make this not only a Fiero, but an all around automotive related get together. ***Awards will be handed out day of show.***

We are part of the Midwest Fiero Clubs ( www.fieros.us ) circuit for 2006 in the "Quest for the Best" 1986 stock Fiero. One 86 stock Fiero will be chosen as the best Fiero at our show, with a chance to compete for the Best 86 Stock Fiero in the Midwest at the Fierorama show. www.fierofocus.com

The show is for all years, 84 - 88 Fieros. The Midwest Fiero Clubs special award is for the 20th Anniversary of the 1986 Fiero, hence the "Quest for the Best" 86.

As I get more information I will pass it on, and within the next couple of weeks our new and updated website will also have information. www.michiganfieroclub.com

I hope to see you there!

Mark

You would be about 1/2 hour from the bridge. The show is for all years of fiero. (1986) is for the best 1986 in the midwest show circuit. More info will be coming. Hope to see you .

Tina, You can take the High speed Ferry across Lake Michigan and save the headaches of Chicago land area driving. Milwaukee to Muskegon. You can take a more leisure cruise by using the "badger" from Manitowoc to Ludington. That is how my fireo got home. About 250mi from here is Dearborn.

Taking the Ferry accross Lake Michigan. Now that be cool,
but (and a big one it is)
now I just found out CarCraft Nationals are also going on the same weekend. Here in Minneapolis though.
And then there is the CFOG/MMF show the same weekend. Same place apperantly too.

What to do, what to do?

Well.............................if it helps yours, or anyones decision. I got word today that we will have 4 prototypes at our show, instead of 2. We are working out the details with GM on which 4, and as soon as it is confirmed I'll let everyone know. The 90 and the Yellow & Black Formula Drag car are for sure, the other 2 are ????????

STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS

Check out VisitDetroit for some local deals.
The Dearborn Inn is right around the corner but on the high end. The Southfield Marriott or Amerisuites Livonia might be two good choices. Other hotels can be foundhere.

Anyone local have connections for lower rates?

if you are looking on the web, look for something around the "Henry Ford Museum" and/or "Greenfield Village" - both are basicly the same place, and they are near the event.
should not be a problem, there are many places to stay. Comfort Inn is always a fav of mine.

Hello,

We now have a host hotel for the event. I have updated my first post to include our new registration form. Our host Hotel is the Comfort Inn Metro Airport. Located in Romulus Michigan, it is a short 15 minute drive to the Automotive Hall of Fame. This will give us a nice opportunity to have a cruise in the morning from the hotel to the show site.

The hotel address is 31800 Wick Road, Romulus, MI 48174. Their telephone number is 734.326.2100. When booking ask for the Michigan Fiero Club group rate. Rooms are $69.95 / Night + tax.

I'd better stay on track so my build is complete and reliable for a 5 hour road trip...

No, it will be at our show in July. It was also on display at the GM Tech center back in September of 04.
