Come on Dallas people, where are you? We gots to be representing... I mean, I think alot more people from here were planning on attending, they are just being lazy... for shame.
Heh well, Daniel, Stephen and I are going to have alot of fun and make all the rest of NTFC very jealous.
One bed nope I'm out! j/k If anyone would like to join our caravan down friday we'd be happy to meet up somewhere. Amber, Stephen, and I are going down friday afternoon and taking the us281 route.

You realise there are more of us than there are of you, you could simply meet up with us at the hotel Friday evening... But whining about it is more fun
I just need to wash the car, put on another set of wheels/tires, install a cd player, and get a paycheck... I'll be ready!

Ok, I decided that I am going to be attending. Daniel, Amber, and Steven....please just tell me where and what time you want to meet so that we can drive down together on Fri. Also, where is everyone staying? I have not read all 5 pages but if there is anyone that needs another person to help pay for a room or if there is anyone with space in their tent please let me know. I guess all that is left now is to get officially registered for the show. I look forward to being there and i'm sure it will be a blast.

Nathan,
Send me an e-mail at sanderson@grandecom.net and I'll get you the information if it hasn't already been haven't forwarded.
If you've got a camping frame of mind the garage has plenty of room and is actually on upgrade from a tent. But check with Amber she may be looking to sublet some air conditioned space.

Well just wait to the last minute to decide to go to the best show of the year. We( Me, Kevin/Lupe, Amber, Daniel) are staying at some hotel. You are welcome to a room being we have 2 of them and the more the cheaper. Leaving sometime Friday, meet at Ambers house I am sure. Hope that SBC is running right this time so I can add you to the kill list, I will give you 2 car length lead.

Yes--before it gets dark would be nice, to many deer down 281 that might come in contact with my car.
Yall forget I am a coordinator.... Nathan is staying with us at the hotel. The plan, if it suits those involved, is for everyone to meet at my place between 3 and 4pm on Friday and take 281 down, that way we get there right before the deer come Fiero hunting.
This caravan is turning into quite a horsepower parade...

How long will it take the "convoy" to get from Cedar Hill to Marble Falls? I looked up Cedar Hills on mapquest and I hope you guys are close to Dallas and not in Floyd county. According to mapquest there are 2 Cedar Hills, Texas and one is about an 8 hour drive to Marble Falls. Mike
Heh, it's the one south of Dallas, I've never been to Marble Falls (that I'm aware of) so I'm not sure how long it will actually take, but according to Mapquest we should arrive there between 6 and 7pm (depending on when we actually leave here and how fast we travel). I don't know how good cell phone reception is in that area, but I think the best plan would be for you to give me your phone number and pick somewhere easy to spot off of 281, then I'll call you when we get in the area and you can head out.
Anyone else interested in meeting up with us on the way down?

Well I`m taking that Friday off from work and I don`t really want to wait that late to go out because I`m camping and I need to get my stuff set up so I will just meet everyone when they get out there. Mike
Well I`m just about ready for the small road trip to the Roundup. I haven`t taken my car over 20 miles from home since I got it but now I`m feeling more confident. Just changed out a leaking heater core. Replaced the egr vacuum solenoid (no more check engine light ) egr valve, fan switch and installed a MSD blaster coil. It may be my imagination but my car sure seems to run smoother, start better and have more pick-up with that new coil. Is the 23rd here yet?

Sounds good to me, the earlier we leave the better for me, never know what might happen on the way down. Would rather get down there early than run out of day light with an issue. Daniels poor 2.8 is going to catch hell trying to run with the big DOGS!!!!!

OK, I had not yet made the decision because of some interference but I guess that decides it for me. I'll just have to stay on the porch, I guess, since my little 4 banger can't "run with the big dogs".
I'm teasing, I'm teasing. I really have not been able to commit to the activities that weekend. I'm still trying to make things work out. I've told my wife, I may wake up on that Saturday and say, "Let's go!". As the event approaches, I'll make the commitment.
BTW, I CAN keep up in highway driving!

Just a little advice, bring your old coil with you just in case. Also the tools to be able to change it out.

Heh, Daniel and I were discussing our following order today, wondering if we should go loudest to quietest or fastest to slowest... then we decided it didn't matter, we just wanted to see you and Nathan take off and see how close we could stay with you This is the one and only reason I'm glad I won't be taking Orange.
Spent the day doing some minor things to the 3.4 car, so it should be in top running shape by the 23rd.
I have heard rust is good for the air filter, adds like 10 horsepower... but I didn't want too make everyone too jealous of my car.
Anyway, we're leaving a little late so I have time to get in a nap before we head out... I have to work from 7am to 11am that morning. Also wanted to give everyone plenty of time to make it to my place, and miss most all traffic. Let's go ahead and plan to depart my place at 3:00, that should be plenty of time even if there's some delay somewhere. And we'll probably want to stop for a meal, Italian place in Lampasas where we stopped after the Ruckus?
Hey my little 2.8 is running strong, it's ready to try and keep up with "the Big Dogs". I think we should run slowest to fastests just to make sure you guys don't leave me behind. Or I could just put governors in your cars when your not looking. -Daniel

MSTANGSBWARE I believe in having a few essential parts with you when traveling in a 20 year old car and especially tools, but on the other hand considering MSD is used in everything from Nascar to NHRA I feel pretty confident in their product. I know you can buy brand new defective parts but then how long do you rely on older parts not knowing their age? Mike

It's not about relying on the older parts, it's about having a spare just in case your new part causes an issue with your older components. Ask Blake about this, we watched fire shoot from his car on the way home from the last Roundup after installing his MSD coil, which blew his ignition control module. Not saying it will happen to you, just saying you might want to be prepared for any possibility.
That said, if something does go wrong with your car it'll be the one thing you never considered... that from my own personal experience.
