Thanks everyone for attending. It was a priviledge to put on the event under the AAFO banner and showcase the Canyon Lake area that I am so attached to.
A special thanks to:
- Heidi Thomas for the pit pass design and printing and so much other help
- Mike Parker for financial help for the pit passes, cruise tail gunner duty and all-around cheerleading
- Robert White for the tee shirt production
- Revin for comic relief
- All the ad hoc helpers especially Edith Rogers for pitching in without being asked when there was work to be done
-Other AAFO members who contributed financially without being asked.
- And last but not least my wife, Ellen who works endlessly and puts up with my craziness in taking on such an event

Scott I got to tell ya, THAT was a awsome route!!! I kept making a gap so I could take the curves with a blind drop, at a "very fun" speed
Is this going be a yearly thing???
Back in my younger/lighter years I toured much of the Texas Hill Country by bicycle. We really have only scratched the surface of good back roads. My current thoughts would be skip the show part and do something like a 200-250 mile Texas Hill Country tour over the course of a weekend. And do it during a cooler part of the years when camping is more feasible. Places like Garner State Park near Leakey, Ladybird Johnson Municipal Park near Fredericksburg, Inks Lake State Park north of Marble Falls are all great stopping points.
All fun and no sleep tends to make an Amber more than a little worn out. Still feeling too lazy to post any pictures, spent the day getting Nathan's car back on the road (he was running hot and blew a coil 4 miles from my house last night).
This sunburn is insane! I've got a neon pink stomach, legs, and armpits (how do you burn your armpits?!?) and have spent the last hour laying around with cold wet towels on my legs...
I can't wait til next year

Sunburn ? I stood there, I watched everyone apply sunblock. I think I am the only one that did not. I did not get any sunburn. They make these things called trees. You might have seen some along the river. Trees make shade. My sunblock was better than yours
Heh, I put about a dime size amount on the back of my neck and a little spray off it across my nose... I've never had a sunburn before really, I thought everyone was being silly coating it on like that.
Eh well, live and learn.
Ooh, using shade... someone's so smart

Well, like CliffW I also ended up with no sun burn. From a scientific point of view it was either the gel sunscreen I got from Jazzman or the two Budweisers I drank on the river. Not enough data to decide between the two so further research will be required

The weekend was great! Even skipping the Sunday tubin event, I arrived home Sunday mid-day rather lobster-like! Desirae had a great time, her first time in a tent, as was Elidas! Thanks again to all those whom set that sucker up! We, like others, took Monday off, but rather than doing the responsible thing of rest and recouperating, we took Desirae to Sea World, can you say Sunburn on top of Sunburn? Kinda like flipping the burger three times rather than two! It was super meeting all again and cant wait to repeat!

Yeah, I got a few burned spots on my ankles and knees where I either missed applying block or it got washed/rubbed off by the tubing. As luck would have it though I didn't get burned on my face the block did run into my eyes and made the last half mile or so of my paddling a blind, burning nightmare. Note to self, carry a towel on the tube next time. I also forgot to reapply on my hands after washing them at Sanderson's so have a mild burn on the backs of the left one in particular.
Overall I was quite happy with how the event turned out. A lot of behind-the-scenes work goes into organizing and hosting an event like this as I know from helping on our spring NTFC event, so well-deserved kudos to the people who made this happen.
Finally recovered from this weekend and have the energy to post the few pictures that I took. Would first like to THANK the Andersons for putting on such a great show and for all the effert that was out into it. Was good to meet new ppl and see new cars and hopefully everyone will make it to the next show.
I had a great time as well. Thanks to all who had a hand in putting it on. I have to say thanks specaily to Scott for the great cruise route and fast pace. I have no pictures to post but I'll try to make Amber since I took a few of hers.
Sorry for the lateness. I ran out of batteries so I only got a few pics, but here are the ones that nobody else posted (Yes, I took my camera on the water):
The highpoint of excitement on the tubing trip were the rapids, or should I say "rapid" as there was only really one of them:
Revin in his normal driving pose:
Three more going the team way:
The beer made it through ok:
Here's the main group after regrouping once past the "rapid":
We did get some entertainment:
Didn't figure out what it was, but at least it wasn't wearing shoes. His buddy was watching us to make sure we didn't scarf on his dinner:
Actually, there were quite a few buzzards hanging out in the trees and circling overhead. Just how dangerous is tubing anyway?
Before the suspense of seeing my fabulous pictures grows any further...
Can you spot the interloper?
The line-up, or round-up more accurately...
What a fine engine we have here, and I thought I'd have the only red 88 with a 3.4
We NTFC people (and Kevin) are sure a sociable bunch.
Definetely a sight to confuse the locals...
I kind of got the feeling I was being followed...
Poor bar thought it finally had some customers, alas sales were not to skyrocket that day... cheap Fiero people.
That's the cream of the crop there, gotta say I wasn't focused enough on my picture taking. Anyway, had an excellent time and still (STILL) have the sunburn to prove it... when's the Ruckus?
Of course he didn't, as the old saying goes... smart enough to buy a Solstice, smart enough not to race a Fiero I'm pretty sure it's an old saying anyway.

Wow, I can't believe I missed out on all this. This would have been so much fricken fun, if I had a Fiero. Even without one.
JScott, I'd have killed to see your car in person, I've seen alot of it on the forum over the past few years but never thought I'd live close enough to actually see it.
I'd like to refer all of you wonderful texan fiero lovers to my recent post, maybe some of you can help me out?
