I get people here in LA that ask me if my cars are the new PONTIACs coming out. I especially get it in my GTs. The Fiero is timeless, and JSCOTT helped ensure this by his effort for the movie!! You guys are welcome for the Fiero in the Movie, but JSCOTT made it happen by towing the car to New Orleans. You Rule
We will be looking for more fieros soon...keep watching for my posts.

Okay, I must have no life because I just saw "Stay Alive" for the third time... That's exactly twice more than any other movie I've seen at the theater.
The car looked good, but it made me wish more more gore. I guess that's the nature of making films for 13 year olds.
Just saw the movie a couple of weeks ago at the drive in.Loved the movie and loved the car.The line-up on movies that night was pretty good.First was Cars, then the Shaggy Dog, Then Stay Alive. It was money well spent.Considering 3 movies for 6 bucks an adult.I spent more money in the consetion stand than I did for me, the wife and two kids. But on that huge screen the car realy was breathtaking.

Well I finally got around to seeing this. I probably wouldn't have watched it, but only did because your fiero was in it. I am not really into horror movies to begin with, but I thought it was decent and will most likely buy the unedited version when its released.
Now later tonight when family gets home, I will put it on again and watch it with them.

I will buy it when it comes out. I always buy the ones I enjoy.

I just **obtained** a copy of Stay Alive with the directors cut, and I thought it was rather good! I didn't think a video game based movie could actually have a decent plot. Anyway, I recommend renting it. Make sure it has the director's cut or it'd definatly be a terrible movie.
My dislikes: When the guy gets 'run over' by the carriage, it's the worst digital roll I've ever seen. Definatly needed some work on that scene. Also, could be a bit scarier
Likes: Fiero, good plot for what it's based on, and for the most part good camera work.
If you though it was horrible, then you should see it with the directors cut. It makes a HUGE difference.

Was just in blockbuster and it is posted for Sept 19th !!
I pre-ordered mine so it should come today or tomorrow. I'm looking forward to the Director's cut. It adds 15 minutes to the film and should fill in some of the plot holes.
And if nothing else, I can get some much better screen captures for my scrap book.
Bought it. Just finished watching it. Not too bad but have seen better. Nice car jscott1. They should have given you a character to play in the movie just for being nice enough to let them use your car. I cringed when I seen the car heading for that tree.
How did it come about that they wanted your car? Did you respond to a ad or something? Did they just see you driving around and stop you? I'm interested to know.

I'm watching it now and I have to say the Director's Cut is better than the theatrical version. Proud-2 gets a little extra screen time. The added the broken mirror shot, (don't worry Stunt Mirror).
Steve, (SNMFX) your buddy Brent hooked you up! If you turn on the Director's Commentary, the question is, "What's the deal with the car?" he talks about your 3 Fieros and how he decided that Phineus had to drive a Fiero!
It was probably more exciting to see my car on the big screen in an audience full of people, but being able to pause and rewind and save the images is cool too.

I have this image in my head of you jumping up in the theatre and yelling 'THATS MY CAR"! LOL

My favorite scene with the car is actually in Chapter 10 when they are all just hanging around and Sophia Bush leans up against the car. That wasn't even scripted, they just decided to put the car in that shot at the last minute. That picture is my wallpaper on my computer.
What's next is I would like to finish that filler panel on the dash. The cracks are huge and show up on camera.

I rented stay alive last nite, b/c i figured since it was close to halloween, why not rent a scary movie. I had no clue that a fiero was in it. I saw him messing with the sub 1st thing i thought was that car looks familiar. Then I saw the out side shot, then i asked myself..Was that a Fiero? Then i scrolled back and i was just like wow. A car from the 80's in a 2006 movie. Nice car btw. When i saw the whole car i just flipped out. I was like seeing somebody you know on tv (eventhough i dont know you). I was getting a little scared when i saw him headed towards the tree. I was just thinking Who's ever Fiero that is is gonna flip if it's wrecked. Congrats and nice car again..

Thanks! For the most part the car looks better on film than real life. You can't see the spider cracks in the rear bumper, or the faded deck lid so much. The scene with the tree didn't worry me at all, because I had the car home safe and sound long before I ever saw what they did to it on film.

well i just rented the movie and found it decent for a horror film. (i generally hate horror films unless a nice looking girl is sitting beside me) BUT, i might be the first to say this, i think the fiero ruined that whole "serving" scene. not because it was a fiero, but because it was quite obvious that they weren't allowed to drive the car recklessly. It was brutally obvious that the motion had been sped up to make it look like the car was going fast when it wasn't. that and some of the "unfinished" interior pieces were a little annoying. it would have been better if they made some kind of attempt to show why it wasn't finished. i did not at all get the impression that finn(or whatever is name was) was the type of guy to work on his car, and would therefore have a "work in progress". don't get me wrong, i fully enjoyed seeing a fiero in a new holleywood movie, in fact that's the only reason i saw the movie. i just felt that the fiero didn't flow with the character at all. maybe because i own one and know that you have to be a real "car person" to have one that looks that nice, and he didn't seem to fit that description. i'd rather see a fiero take on the role of a "drivers" car. in the respect that the character who drives it should be known as the "car person" in the movie, and preferably one who likes to take corners quickly
all and all though, you are a lucky(probably not the right word) man JScott. congrats to you!

Is it a trade secret or improper to ask you if you get royalties or how much they compensated you for the use of the car? Or do you just consider it a great honor?

Our friend on the forum SNMFX (Steve) is good friends with the director Brent Bell. He convinced Brent to use a Fiero in the film and they decided early on that Phineus, or Phin would drive a Fiero.
It's not obvious in the film, but Phineus and his sister October own the coffee bar, so they have a little money, but not rich. All the characters are kind of ecclectic and Phin is the kind of person that would want to own something different, like a Fiero. But it would be fixed up. The directors did not intend for the dash pieces to be unfinished, that was because I ran out of time, but it does kind of fit the ragged edge personality of Phineus.
Besides, who except us on the Fiero forum would even notice that it's an unfinished Firebird dash in a Fiero?

If you get bored watching the election results, I just noticed that "Stay Alive" is on DirecTV Pay per view. Now for only $3.99 you can see for yourself. I'm not sure if it's the theatrical version or director's cut.
I'll probably buy it, just so I can have it in my TIVO.
