It would be nice if David Cole were to run again. He mounted his cameera on the nose of his car with a microphone back by his 3800 engine on the second RFTH (The first run through the Dragon).
Yes, it will mount backwards. Works best if you don't have a wing. I did it on RFTH8, but my wing was in the way. Only problem there is that the remote control doesn't work because you have to be in front of the camera to use the remote. You would have to operate it manually.

Well, I have terrible news…….It looks as of now that I will not be making the run. I would put it at about 85% chance that my 4.9 will not be ready. As you all know I sent my car off to Ed Parks to have the motor yanked out and put back in place the right way. Well those guys do awesome work. The install is so beautiful. Unfortunately it turns out the used engine that they put in or me is NO good. Don’t get me wrong those guy did a great job and are standing behind it. But it looks as if I’m out of time to get it back down and ready for the Run. I just don’t see the time and money left to get it done. The only hope of coming at all right now is Arlene’s GT. The transmission is going in this weekend, I think. Still need to do shocks and struts. Align it and PAINT it. I’ll keep you informed of my progress.

Believe me the paint is least of my worries. I can prep and paint the car in a days time anyway. I'm just so down right now about My baby being down still.

Yes the last one. YELLOW and my grey trailer in the top picture.
It here in Virginia right now picked it up last weekend. But the motor is no good so it must go back to Ed. I havn't really got to talk to Ed to work out all the details yet. I must assume that there is no way it's going to be going on the run. I still have a little hope that Arlene and I may come down in her 88 GT stock. If I can get the trans installed this weekend. It's not looking good though.

Well a couple of updates on me........I just think I totaled(should be repairable, hope the insurance company doesn't total it) my truck this evening that I need to tow the 4.9 down so that is now a major problem. Better news though Ed Parks is on his way to my house here in Va to pick up the 4.9 to replace the bad motor for me. WOW what a guy to stand behind his work to the point of coming to Va to pick it up when I couldn't make the trip back to Alabama. His going to be driving for 22-24 hours to get my car right. Please everyone give him a BIG PLUS for being an incredible asset to this community. I got the trans in Arlenes car a couple of day ago and it seems to be spot on now. Just need to do the shocks and struts and paint fo her car to be ready. We will then be going to Alabama on the way to NC for the run to pick it back up, Hopefully, Keep your fingers crossed
If I did the online registration, do I have to make the registration at the event? I'm not sure what time I can get out of here Friday and I'm even skeptical on making the driver's meeting. What all do I need to do to make sure I can run the event without any problems? Is the driver's meeting mandatory, or can I get with one of the Organizers If I'm not on time?
I hope to see you all there and hopefully put a face to the name and car.

You will be fine. If you have paid you will be able to run. Before the run and before all the car leaves to go on the run. I will make sure all the cars have paid.

The only thing that has a an absolute deadline is the Banquet Dinner. That is because the Casino has to make plans for the meal. You can order your tshirt at any time, however, if you don't order it by the deadline posted on our website, you will not receive it at the event. It will be mailed to you. I don't know how the club is handling the extra fees for postage, for those that will need to be mailed. The registration fee may be paid at the event, and the form may be submitted at the same time. Even though you might have registered in advance, we would like for you to sign in at the event, just so we know who's there, and I think that's when they will give you your shirt and tickets for the meal. That's what the registgration period is for.
The Driver's meeting has usually been held in the morning during the hour just prior to leaving on the run. It has been changed to the night before and this will cause those who don't arrive until Saturday morning to miss the briefing. Not a major problem, but I usually give out some particulars about the route during that briefing. If you get there late, contact Joe Goodman, or me, and we'll fill you in. I won't be available on Saturday morning, since I will be leaving early to set up cameras along the course, so you will need to catch me on Saturday night.

Unless some wild miracle happens. We will not be on the run this year with either car. I have (2) rooms reserved, (2) car registered and (2) dinners paid for if any one would lke to use these please contact me.
Jesse, if not a Fiero, bring anything. You won't be the first to drive something else. Surely, it won't be as much fun, but at least come and join in the other festivities.
As for the motel, there has been an incorrect spelling of the street the motel is on. The correct spelling is ACQUONI ROAD Hope that helps.
For anyone coming north on US 441, when you get to the intersection at Harrah's Casino, turn left and go to the signs that indicate a right turn to continue North on US 441. You will come alongside the river with it being on your right. At the North end of town, Acquoni Road intersects from the right. You turn right across the river and the motel is immediately on the left.

I wish it was just the car that was making me not be able to go. I had a couple of big jobs get shut down and has left my finances in a big mess. So I now know that I can't make it with out a hugh miracle.

Due to recent developments, I should be able to make the Run!!!
I have had some intermitten starting problems and didn't want to make a trip that i wasn't sure I could make it back. Now it looks like I can make the trip safely.
I know I will get there late Friday night. What all do i need to do when i get there? Do I need to let someone know when I get there and get any sort of information? If not I'll just be awake early.

By The Way, this didn't happen on any of the Run For The Hills events, but it's always possible. Hence the warning Scott has given you. In case you don't recognize it, that is a Fiero.
