Headed out for the Indy Pace Car Reunion on Friday. I’m going to try to send reports back while there. So far I have the Indy all cleaned and waiting. I’ll up date as time goes on.
I believe that I have heard mention that there will be 14 Fieros represented at the Reunion.
As far as a meeting at Hooters is concerned...I would love to come, but I am not sure how tired my son and I will be and how much of a hurry we will be to begin the drive back home to Texas. I have a shoot that I have to work on Tuesday morning. We will have a nice relaxing drive up there (we will leave Wednesday morning and be there sometime on Thursday), but we are going to have to hurry back home.

Don't forget the raincoat and sweatshirt guys! The weather report here is rain through Saturday. My guess is the infield is a swamp by now with rain showers from the last week and the week to come. Qualifications are going to run late on Sunday and my guess is we might get bumped from our track lap?!? We all need to remember that we are guests and the least of the speedways concern so lets make the best of it and be gracious guests. See you all there.

One of the reasons I bought tickets to the Breakfast - hope to be able to at least make the lap Saturday morning.
Is the area where we will be parking the cars gonna be bad? Are you saying that I don't really need to worry too much about cleaning the Indy after the drive up there from Texas? No, we are not trailering it - we are driving it.

We received our tickets for the Saturday Breakfast today. Looks like this weekend is going to end up very busy at the track. We are driving down Thursday afternoon. See you Fiero guys there.

The area we are supposed to be staged at is the grassy area around the lake (drainage pond). The rain has pushed qualifications back and I think "Little AL" will get the dry track time Just be prepared to adjust is the best advice I can give. It will be a good time and an experience you will be glad you were part of.

I just got a call from Jan (I forgot to put a T shirt size on my form) I asked her about our pace lap being canceled. She Said “no way” She said that she “was trying to get 3 or 4 laps because one is not enough” She also said that we are being moved out of the grass onto an asphalt area. She said there are around 150 pace cars coming.

I am somewhere in Arkansas about 45 minutes north of West Memphis at a Holiday Inn. The Indy ran great all day today...been keeping up with the mileage...will post what the mpg on the trip was after all this is over. Some really nice country here...but at dinner I encountered the stereo-typical Arkansas person (don't mean to offend any Arkansas owners...) and what an a---h--e!!!! Still getting used to the brown asphalt that is used on the highways here.
Will be in Indy late tomorrow!

So I pull into the parking lot to get our credentials and a black 86 SE pulls up right beside me...thought it may be one of the Forum guys but this guy isn't a memebr. I told him about the site and that some of us are going to the Pace Car Reunion to participate and that others may be coming to visit. He seemed really interested in the forum, so hopefully we will get yet another new member.
The rain has been off and on today...tomorrow's forecast is supposed to be better!
