has any one got a pic of the kick down and the throttle cable linkage near the throttle body. Also can any one post a pic of the neutral saftery switch. I think my shift cable is too short or I have it set in the wrong direction.
The 3800 I took out has different linkage set up and this is the only thing stopping this car from going.
My other fiero is a manual and this one I am changing the motor is an Auto

If so ... here are a couple pics to help out

This shows the throttle & kick down cables in relation to the throttle lever. basically the kickdown goes across the top of the lever and the cable goes through the slot in the pin, the throttle cable runs below the lever and then comes up, and the little loop kinda thing at the end of the cable goes over the pin, then the little e-clip goes in the groove on the pin to keep the throttle cable from coming off. Hopefully this description along with the pics makes sense.

the one i am installing is a V6 2.8 litre with the Auto trans. already attached
i drive a manual, this have no need for a kickdown cable
I can see i have a restraining bracket missing so far
Also i think the shift cable is too short. which way does the shift lever mount and the cable attach to the lever and the neutral saftey switch mounting.
this motor should go well and be really cheap to run, with the right Auto trans. behind it
