Heh, I was only kidding... you wouldn't want to advertise that people could come see my car, there would be traffic jams for miles with everyone clamoring for the opportunity.
Or something

Ok, there will be a double feature at the Drive In on Saturday night. The first movie will be "Open Season" so that the kids can get their parents to come.
WE have a say on the second movie. The movie will be ordered on Tuesday about noon. YES, they get frist run movies, so if there is an opening on Friday the 13th and you want to vote for it...do so.
Post you votes for the second movie and I have been told that they will do all they can to get it. This is going out of their way to make sure we all have a good time.

George's Menu - the manager that I have been dealing with is very excited about having us there. Spoke with him for a while yesterday during the Texas/OU game. This should be fun.
Below is the menu:

Things are shaping up that I will not have to work next weekend. So add Scott and Ellen Anderson ('84 sports coupe) to the attendees list. We will be arriving late Saturday morning and will go directly to the Hall of Fame.
Well it looks like I might make it after all. I'll fire the car up tomarrow if it doesn't go up in smoke. However not a chance for a people's choice. It looks bad but hopefully will run ok. See ya guys there! If not on friday then Saturday.
Bob it doesn't matter what your car looks like, it's nice to have one more fiero. Your engine will make up for it all I'm sure. How many fieros do you have to have to consider it a mob? And can a mob of fiero take on a biker gang?

Well. Not suprisingly, I will no longer be able to attend this wonderful event this year. 2 soccer games (1 out of town @SMU) and a spun rod bearing (I think) will keep me from being able to make it. My apologies but I may be able to make it for a few hours on Sat., but without the Fiero for sure. I know you will all miss me but try to have fun anyways

Well that sucks but then again most V-8s do. Time to sell off the V-8 crap and start getting parts for a 3800SC swap.
I vote for whatevers playing at the time.

Just went to the Drive-In last night and enjoyed "FlyBoys" with Michael in the Indy.
The flyers are up there now, and there is already one local that wants to race a Fiero...figure that there at least 2 of you who will be interested in that...and will let y'all settle that Saturday evening. He says his car is a 13 second car....
Awards should be delivered to me tomorrow and I will post pics as soon as they arrive.
Shirts will be completed and delivered tomorrow as well.

I finally made some time this weekend to see if I could get the Fiero going. If it's not too late, add me (Mike Howard) and my purple '87 GT to the list of cars. I have a couple more things to do to it (get radiator fan working properly and bleed the brakes) before I'll feel comfortable driving it, but it looks like I'll be there on Saturday. The wife and kids will be following me in a chase car to pick me if things go bad.
My vote for a movie is Man of the Year. Robin Williams for President!
Sorry you can't make it Nathan, I suppose my car will have to be the one to damage everyone's hearing... I hope it's up to the task.
Hrrm, race an Eclipse or a CRX... do they have any proof of not being completely gay? I mean, of being fast? Maybe I'll give them a chance, but I think since my car can hold it's own against a highly modified 4.6 Mustang and a new BMW M3 I can probably take them. Then we can all laugh even harder when we point out the other Fieros out there that are faster than mine

I don't know what to expect from the Eclipse, since its a late model? But I suspect the CRX has a motor swap of some sort, B16 is my guess. They're pretty light, it could be quick. I'm thinking Amber can take em, although I'm kinda suspicious of this highly modified 4.6 .

Wait were they talking about a 13second 1/8 mile? Or 1/4 mile? Thats a lot of work and modifing to make a CRX or a non gsx eclipse that fast.
Edit to say: I was there when Amber beat the modeddd 4.6 and he comes in to the zone (autozone) where I work all the time I know what he has in the car. MUSTANGS SUCK no matter how much money you waste on them.

Its got to be 1/4 mile, he wouldn't have bothered mentioning it otherwise would he? Ok, what's this 'modeddd 4.6' have done? I know I couldn't keep up with a highly modified 4.6... I guess my definition of highly modified differs from y'all's.

You know I probably wont run my fiero hard when I get it running, But I know a Geo Prism that has taken a few eclips and crx's. That's what really make a race more interesting when you can win with a piece of junk. Even better when it looks stock..... eah.

So, Amber you raced a Mustang 4.6 and a BMW M3? Did you ever get a estimated time in the 1/4? I just want to know so I can get a comparitive idea. I've modified mine so much I dont know what to base improvements on. That is if there are going to be improvements. Thanks.
Heh, I have witnessed Bob's Prism... that is one go Geo
(Edit: I hate to guess a 1/4 time, but I looked up stock M3 times and it looks like they run a 13 flat... I'm thinking we went about a 1/4 mile and I had just a little bit on him and had a slower reaction time off the line -I didn't realise we were racing until he got a little ahead of me and I wasn't about to let him get away with that So whatever you can estimate from that sounds good to me.)

He told me he's $30k into the car. It's got a cam don't know what kind or specs (lopes real nice), it's stroked, some kind of fancy ford intake, big rubber on the back wheels and couple other things. The guy will never tell me what it runs at the track but it's no stocker. This is not a kid either he's a 40 year old rich black guy.
Oh and the 1/8 mile thing was a joke, from an import owner you never know.
