I found a review of the hotel that was not favorable, but their main complaint was noise from nearby revelers (sp?). At least they said their room was clean. I'm not worried, as I'd bet we will be the noise-makers that weekend. I'll be making my reservations today.

The hotel is a block away from part of the Baylor campus....you don't get a room in a location like that and expect it to be real quiet.
I really don't think that it will be a problem. It is a very easy on/off exit for I-35 and it is close to the HoF, and eating places, just a few blocks from the Friday night meeting spot, and easy to get back to for those of you driving back from the Drive-In late Saturday/early Sunday.

The hotelyou picked sounds good to me and the price sounds even better. What is the limit of people per room, 2, 3, 4? And who wants to split a room for the 2 nights to make it even cheaper?--

Yes, if you mention the Ruckus they should know. You may have to say "car show" b/c that is what the mgr kept calling it when she was speaking with me.
I need to get the size and number of shirts that everyone is wanting.
(Cliff - I am really thinking about gettting you one with a pocket)
If there is any way possible to get the information by Friday, Sept 15, that will be great! I will have a few extras made, but my shirt guy is wanting to go ahead and get started on them (as of right now, there is no cost for the first shirt, and additional shirts will run $15).
Dinner Saturday night has been taken care of at the Drive-In -- it is being catered by a local BBQ cook and will not cost participants a dime. (Special thank you to Nixon Catering)
Still waiting for confirmation that lunch has been taken care of for Saturday at the Hall of Fame. Hope to have final confirmation by September 20.
Right now, I am hoping that all anyone will have to pay for is fuel, the hotel room, drinks on Friday night at George's, anything that may happen on Sunday, and additional t-shirts.
I am working hard to get certain beverages sponsored and paid for....y'all have been more than patient and please bear with me a little while longer while I try to finish up all the details.

I'm in limbo right now. Still plan on coming if I still have a job by then. Construction industry in this area has come to a screeeeching halt. (Thanks oil prices). My company is talking about cut backs, realignment of personnell/equipment, and/or reduced hours. They probably won't lay anybody off, just cut us back to starvation wages, then people will quit and the company won't be charged for unemployment compensation. They were supposed to let us know last Friday, but nothing was said.
If I get there I'll be an XL, but shrinking....

I can do that Stephen if you have not had any takers yet. Looks like I need an answer today.

Tim, one way or another I will be there two nights also. My shirt size is a medium. I would like two. Don, glad to hear that you might be able to make it, even if to just say howdy.
pretty much the same - maybe a small tweak or two here or there....but nothing major.
Show time at the Hall of Fame is the same and the leaving for the Cruise Route to the Drive-In is still the same (but may change give or take 15 minutes or so).
There may be one change on Saturday involving Fiero Softball....but again, nothing major.
I didn't think I would be able to make this one with my Fiero due to what I thought was suspension problems. Then I read a thread on the forum on engine/trans mounts. Jacked up the car and found a broken trans mount suffered during an unscheduled flight into a gully caused by a collision with a motorcycle. I have already repaired some of the suspension damage, but this mount slipped by me. I repaired the mount so now I plan to be there. I'll make the hotel reservations tomorrow and schedule vacation from work. Put me on the list and I'll take a XXL shirt.
