Black, Red, White, Gold (this color is still subject to change...may become blue).
They are not (thank you Revin) associated in any way with the cars that they may (or in Revin's case, may NOT) be awarded to.
Yes Amber, there will be judges (I am currently speaking to some people who will handle this hopefully...and one award will be decided by the people who come to the Drive-In).
From the looks of what we are receiving, the grab bags are going to be nice, the food should be good, and I am hopeful for an all-around fun time for everyone.
Shirt sizes for me and my wife are XL,M Is the best value inn still the hotel everyone is staying in???? Just wanted to make sure before I made the reservations.
Thanks Justin

Well, I couldn't get us in for free. But there is a discount. Here is part of the email that I received from the Dr. Pepper Museum today. I am not sure if anyone really wants to go, but there will be time to do so if we want to go as a group.
--------------------------------------
Good afternoon, Tim, and thanks for your email! We would be happy to provide discounted admission to the Dr Pepper Museum for your group on October 14th. Please tell them to mention that they are here with Red River Ruckus and the people at admissions will give them $1 of the regular admission ($5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, $3 for children). The car show sounds like so much fun!

New image of something for the RRR (Revin - you will know what this is for - and the paint is looking like it will be quite different than what I mentioned - and notice that there is more detail).
More news after this weekend.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE PMd OR LISTED YOUR SHIRT SIZE IN THIS THREAD. Shirt orders are placed on Tuesday (had to wait on a few more detailson the shirts...but they will be ready in plenty of time).
Tim, that still looks the same to me.huh sharper?..but the quality will still be nice! Did you say it would be chrome??????
On the shirts...... be sure to order "extras" of each size. There will be unanounced people show up sometimes, besides you could sell them afterwards at a small price.
How is the candy? Is it gone yet?lol

It's actually cut almost exactly the opposite of what you saw. There is no sharp edges, just that the detail is better...when you see the new ones versus what you saw, you will realize what I mean.
Original (that you saw):
Chrome is a VERY REAL possibility.
And I am pretty sure that the candy will be making an appearance at some point at the RRR (need to get rid of it some way)

The company that was going to pay for the meal at the Drive-In has just backed out. (Don't get me started). The meal is BBQ (3 meats), potato salad, bread (etc), tea, and dessert. The cost will be $10/plate. I am now trying to call someone else to sponsor this meal (to try to get it down to at most $5). The Drive-In tickets (if no sponsor is found for that soon) will be $5 (but I have a company who is interested in sponsoring that).
Good News:
Shirt cost is down to $7 (and this still has a distinct possiblity of becoming free). Lunch on Saturday is free. Awards are being sponsored.
Sorry guys and gals...I am doing my d--- best to make this all free (except fuel and lodging)...but...well, I am still working on it. Sorry.

Local photographer has offered to take pics of your car if you would like.
48 4X6 prints Choose your favorite to become a 20X30 "poster" $75.00
Not sure if anyone will really be interested, but I know him and his work is good. Called and asked if he would be interested, and he can't donate anything, but is giving us a small price break. He is supposed to get me some of the samples that I have seen of his work so that I can get them posted on this thread.
There are some nice locations around Waco to utilize for this if you are interested.

Don't sweat the pulling of sponsorship. No one expected that, and it is not worth stressing out over.
If you remember my Ruckus Rundown from page 1... there were many times that events cost more than we anticipated, and everything was taken in stride. Now it was not cool of that company to renege, but at least there was notice, and it wasn't bomb dropped at the last minute!
Thanks for all the time you have invested... I know there is a lot of phone time involved... Looking forward to it... and again, don't stress. We are not going to mind paying for something we expected to pay for anyway! Now... if the caterer's didn't show up... that would be a problem...
"Also.... we are out of coffee..." "OUT OF COFFEE???!!!" (mayhem ensues... (Airplane))

Also, I will not be needing a professional photo session...
As much as I love my car... If I needed a 20x30" poster... I'd just walk out to the garage and stare at the 5.5x13' real thing. (measurements approximated)

You HAVE TO STRESS!!!!!! It is part of the Ruckus code of hosting.....
Do we need to have a radio at the drive-in? as in the sound comes through the car radio?
Oh yeah any word on the car-toon pictures, like we saw...???
Radio = yes - the audio comes through the stereo
car-toon pics = waiting on a response.
NO PROBLEM with getting extra shirts. If you know you want one I will add those to the list, and I am making extras in L and XL.
Have a GREAT weekend, as I will not be checking the forum now until Monday. I have to work today and am hoping to enjoy some rain this weekend. (also gonna go driving and find a coupla more alternate cruise routes)
As of today (subject to change at any time) we will try to sneak away from our responsabilities here for a few hrs on Saturday, to visit with you folks a bit. Can't participate much more than that--to much pressing me here. Good job CenTex!!

Looks like things are shaping up for a good event. I still have faint hopes that our maintenance shut down will get delayed so I can attend but as of right now that it doesn't look promising. If there are shirt for sale I'd like to by one.
In the the mean time I'm plugging along on a 4.9 swap into an 88 coupe that I hope is done to show off next spring. Since this is my second swap I thought the electrical wiring would be a piece of cake in a single weekend - NOT! I'll have 40 hours into it easy.

Bryan can't go. His leave is much shorter than it was supposed to be. And I'm still waiting for a definite word from my boss that I can be gone that weekend. If I can go, I'll be interested in sharing a room.

I know it's still a couple weeks off but, we're planing on leaving from Ambers(Cedar Hill) around 2:30 or 3 on that friday so anyone that wants to join in the drive let us know and we'll meet up. I think we're just going down 67 to 287 then 35 to Wacko.
